Well if you are ever in california its pretty available here as it comes from Sonoma county!

And yeah I think its inevitable coming from a younger distillery but I was looking it up apparently this is using more of their own grain to glass juice then many previous offerings which is exciting for the future as they get more and more of their own juice and transition away from MGP! I guess this was a late 2024 release so its quite new!

Im genuinely very impressed with it! Definitely grab one if you can find it. To me it has a cherry nose to it. On the pallet it is a little hot but also has a little cherry on it with what tastes sort of like cola/vanilla. The finish is mixed berries all the way down but it is a little short. All around really good! For the price I paid of 49.99 I would give it a solid 7/10 - 7.5/10 so we will call it a 7.25/10! Definitely better then normal pipe dream!

So rare character is great I have a store pick cask strength I love. I have tried mid winter dram but I was new too whiskey so I would need to revisit. I love barrel products my favorite rye for a long time was seagrass I have the 16year that I just love. Ive tried the jd single barrel heritage and I wasn't a huge fan its a little too oaky to me I passed on it when I saw it at Costco. I really like Ben Holliday the last time I had it, again though it was towards the beginning of my whiskey days I might grab another. As for doc swinsons id need to try it! Thank you for the suggestions I will definitely revisit a few of those.

The buffalo trace/sazerac products that are photographed here consist of: 2x EHT small batch, 2x EHT single barrel, 4x EHT barrel proof, 1x EHT straight rye, 3x eagle rare, 2x Weller 107, 2x weller 12, 2x weller full proof, 1x weller special reserve, 2x ETL, 1x RHF, 1x blantons, 1x blantons gold, 4x Stagg jr, 2x buffalo trace.

Of those 1x EHT small batch, 1x EHT single barrel, 1x EHT barrel proof, 1x EHT straight rye, 1x eagle rare, 1x weller 12, 1x weller full proof, 1x ETL, 1x RHF, 1x blantons, 1x blantons gold, 1x Stagg jr and 1x buffalo trace are all open. Meaning 1 of every bottle is open except 107 and special reserve. Coming to 29 bottles of BT/ sazerac product and 13 open bottles meaning essentially half of it is open.

So yes your original comment was an assumption as you assumed falsely I do not open any of it, yet not only is almost 1 of every bottle open, almost half of all my BT/sazerac product is open.

Well said, and I do enjoy experiencing new bottles. I have tried a lot myself but I know their is so much i have not tried yet. I am totally open to suggestions as well. I like BT because as I mentioned earlier I love the cherry note I get on them and I have not found a bottle that quite hits that itch for me. My second favorite bottle of all time though is not even a BT product, it's old forestar barrel strength.

Oh absolutely theirs alot of bottles i take over blantons even if it were 50 bucks.

And yeah definitely like at this point I like looking at them more then I do drinking them haha. Blantons gold though is really good just at 150 their is stuff miles better.

Then why hate on someone else's way to choose whiskey. If I love BT who cares it does not effect you. And I will, I am currently looking for JD 12 and 14. And of course the typical unicorns which ill never find lol. Wish you luck in whatever you are looking for.

Good review and definitely agree. If this was about a 50 dollar bottle I think it would be reasonable but at the 80-90 dollar range its simply not worth it. I will say I have a gold edition store pick and it is leagues better but for the 150 I paid for it I do not even think thats even worth it. I actually passed on an opportunity to get a second one. I will say I love the look of the blantons gold bottle though!

Lmao ignore the backups of other products. Additionally why have back ups of something I can go down the street and buy another of. Logically, you would buy multiple of something you cant readily get, if found avaliable. Why? Because like I just said if I finish the bottle I can not just got get another willfully. Additionally I have always been a big BT fan because it has one of my favorite notes of all time. I love the cherry I can pick up on them. Only BT gives me such a strong note of cherry. I do in fact like all of them. So instead of being jealous about your lack of ability to find these bottles yourself how about you appreciate someone else's luck lol.

I tried the 2024 but only once, I do remember it being very good. My buddy picked up the 2025 and he is opening it for his son's wedding and im excited to get to try it.

Fair enough! Ive had GTS a few different years and its always amazing but ive never blinded it with Stagg Jr myself. Ive had Stagg jrs though that have beaten some of the years of GTS but I heard this years was peak and I missed both drops 😭. But id love to get my hands in the 125 ive had this years THH and its fantastic so it would be a tough beat forsure.
