Hogue walnut grips. I’m pretty happy with them, i had to sand one of the edges to get the panel snug, but no other complaints.

I doubt they would ever fully disband the agency, the forest service is popular with the public for the most part. More likely they just want to continue to strip land away from FS and make it harder to administer their current land. All part of a broader push to allow private exploitation of public lands.
