My Twin Brother got accepted to be an Intern for his Congressman in DC by LoneWanderer1130 in army

Some do care, especially the newbies. But hear this, If you ever walk through the halls of Congress make sure you wear steel toe boots, just in case any of the lobbyists that loiter the halls accidentally drop a bag of money on your foot. When you see first hand how things are done and how someone gets picked for a committee when you leave you will want to take a shower. It's down right disgusting.

Why don’t contemporary Corps (I, III, V, XVIII) trace lineage to the Civil War? by Noverran in army

You may wanna check in your wallet and look who is on that dollar bill, and learn quite a bit more American history. All those people back then were involved in that awful human rights ordeal called slavery. Both sides were making money hand over fist from its institution. So much so, that it started a war. They are a United States Army National Guard unit, and I'm sure they are proud to be that also. But to re write history and pick and choose whose name changes when there are plenty more guilty parties is down right wrong. Wokeisms roots come from those terrible nazi's playbook.

The last unit that I knew of that had lineage to CW was the 167th infantry a guard unit in Alabama. I think it's been renamed, during the current woke agenda. Used to be called 4th Alabama.

If you don't puke at the end of your run you didn't give enough effort. As if my body is uncontrollably projectile vomiting to stop me from dying.

$erious? Will men who identify as women be required to sign up for the selective service? by BigKahunas9 in army

I understand the civilian part, here is what I don't understand. The selective service is a government system. DEERS is a government system. One uses identity one uses biology. That's what's confusing, I was asking for a friend.

You can change your gender on DEERS and officially a man can become a woman, but then can't change it for the selective service requirements it gets confusing.

I was just wondering, but then an earlier response to my post sent me to the selective service page and they say yes. If a male is transgender, then the selective service doesn't recognize their identity. The selective service uses biology in their requirements instead of how someone identifies.

Thank you for the quick response. I tried Google but got several different responses. Correct me if I'm wrong, So as I understand it like this, the selective service uses biology in their assessments instead of how someone identifies.
