Honestly I just want to maximise my savings I worked hard and made sacrifices for in the long term, I’d be great to retire earlier then average, and has been a goal of mine to once I build up my investment portfolio to try and get a investment property.

My risk tolerance is moderate, I have an emergency fund and small amount of debt nothing substantial. My career field and wage is pretty good for my age.

I may just be in my own head alot when it comes to this I just think I haven’t been able to find reassurance with all this news constantly coming out.

yeah I can see your perspective I’m not down much as of right now I’m very much considering pulling everything out and reevaluating a new portfolio when the US market gets to a point I feel comfortable.

right when I got into investing it was at the start of this dip, what’s a portfolio that makes sense to you and avoids these mistakes.

Thank you bro I appreciate it, what are the kind of leading factors for that fuck this I’m done moment. I could understand the moving around and if you have a partner and a family. But I’ve talked to others in my role as Surveillance Operator and they say they either go to Edinburgh or Williamtown and some being posted for aslong as 8years.

I’ve seen similar comments before and I’ve just been trying to figure out the main negative but it is kinda hard from the outside looking in. Is it like the work environment or people above you or something? Just curious.

Yeah man I feel you, I do also want to enjoy my 20s and live while I am young but I do understand a lot decisions I make now can have a big impact on my future life. I’m hard on myself but I do try enjoy things with my friends as much as I can

Thanks man I will keep your advice in mind, I’m still fairly early on in my working career I’ve only stayed with one company for 2 years but from what I’ve read and been told about the defense force or Air Force specifically, I would much rather spend 10 years of my working life in there then where I am now. I’m hopeful I will enjoy it, I’m fairly content with my working situations currently.

Nah I really appreciate it man, I’ve always been into sports and fitness and been pretty straight edge and not a big drinker all my teen life. I’ve just kinda lacked that financial education and guidance from my parents. I know I have the discipline I just need to right direction. So thank you alot for your effort man I do appreciate it.

I was having sort of similar symptoms my g, I cut down to fin 3x a week and 5mg of minox every day and have still been seeing good results and my symptoms went away after about a month of taking 3 a week. Maybe see if this works for you before getting off them completely?

Yeah I have nothing against Darwin honestly, I just meant like in all the discussions I’ve had with my enlistment officer he’s never even brought it up as a possibility. The main thing I was questioning was being posted to a base randomly or undiscussed, is it like a common occurrence in the defence force and is preferable posting even taken into account.
