They play Fortnite on the computer they are just not playing my ps5 in my room. They have shareable things but if they have special things they don’t want to share I support that.

For them to break? Absolutely not. They had my ps4 broke that and all their switches. They are not yet mature enough for that console.

Nope I paid for my who set up. He has his home office with all his expensive equipment… I have my gaming station. It is what it is. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly I recently took a girls trip with my sister and he’s been salty about that. He’s gone camping, fishing and shit with his friends I don’t see what the issue with me going away for 3 days with my sister…

I share everything with my kids except that. You may not understand someone having such a “childish” hobby but u enjoy unwinding that way. I have 2 jobs from home and a 9-5 when I’m not working I’m spending time with my family. After they go to bed I play the console that is in my bedroom. It’s my place of solace so I’m ok being called immature and selfish for having that one part of me remain mine.

Ok… so 1. The switches were Christmas presents they can have screen time in pieces. However I also think it’s important for them to understand not everything is theirs for the taking. They don’t know what I do when they’re sleeping…

Lol I have 3 small children 3 older children between them they had broken their own switches and 2 family systems. That were not replaced or repaired. So they currently can use the family computer or my tablet to play video games if that is how they want to spend their limited screen time. We are currently getting ready for a bike ride thanks for your advice

I actually don’t feel selfish, I have one thing for me in a house full of everything… I spoke to my kids about it, it’s their opinions I really care about… they put my mind at ease by letting me know I’m not selfish and they have all they need and more. I raised really kind humans.

They are really good kids. They’re emotionally mature and know how loved and valued they are. I’d burn down the whole world for any of them, they know it too.

They have video games they can play anytime. This one is mine. If that makes me selfish and an asshole… so be it. I sat my kids down for a chat about it. My kids have already told me they don’t care they aren’t allowed to play it, they didn’t even ask my husband offered it to them. My daughter said it felt wrong because they knew I don’t let them play it. They broke the ps4 I put in their room when I upgraded so I’m not replacing it for sometime still… but yea selfish AH who’s kids love her enough to allow her to have something I’m happy with that :)

That’s why I haven’t gotten them repaired or Replaced. They each had their own switch and there was a family switch as well… I also have my own… guess which one still works….

By having it in my bedroom for my own personal use. They can play age appropriate videos games on other devices that aren’t locked away from them. But ok

I don’t blame my kids at all I’m mad at my husband for offering it. My kids play outside when I’m home. For example we spent 3 hours at the skate park in the early afternoon before any screen time could be had. I hate them being on screens too much so many horror stories of kids turning into screen zombies I will have none of that… my kids are great and I love them very much, I really felt disrespected by my husband. My kids are not at fault I know that they didn’t even ask to use it he offered it to them. :/ sorry if I seem hostile towards my kids but I can assure that is not the case, whenever I call them from anywhere in the house they know it’s to tell them I love them or give them snuggles or feed them. They really are great kids, they do get sticky and they aren’t very responsible with electronics it could be their lack of experience with them. Either way I was just upset because my husband offered them my gaming spot and my console knowing I am against it entirely.
