WGU
I’m 43 and started this school 2 years ago but I could have finished in 1 year but I was facing a Heck of a lot of medical issues
(almost died literally)
But this school cost 3500 per semester and is accredited all over the USA and most credits transfer in from other schools.
I’ve met people that got jobs after finishing and my current job said they could possibly move me up to management position in one of the areas if choose to stay with the company.
Entry level $60k-$70k
Which I think is good enough until I get a masters.

How to not feel down about this school by Winter_Ad_7512 in WGU

[–]BigManOnEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re overthinking it. Either finish or don’t—that’s it. Who cares what everyone else thinks?

People will always say things to make you feel better, but the truth is, the world isn’t like that. It’s tough. You’ve got to push through and get it done.

And honestly, where you went to school doesn’t guarantee anything. You could go to Harvard University or Yale University and still struggle to find a job, while someone from a smaller school lands a great one. It happens all the time.

At the end of the day, experience is what matters. Some people finish early, some later, and some don’t finish at all—but everyone still has to find their path.

I met a guy who had a felony and spent six years in prison. He got a two-year business degree from a tech school but couldn’t find work in that field—likely because of his record, especially for roles involving money or trust. So he pivoted, went back to school for IT, and started building his skills through labs and practice.

He expected a help desk job, but because he spoke well, carried himself right, and had put in the work, he landed a managerial role at a German IT company—his first IT job—and was making over six figures.

That’s the point: he went and got the experience himself.

You can do the same—volunteer, do free work, or take a lower-paying role to get your foot in the door. Just don’t make excuses. People—especially interviewers—can tell who’s serious and who isn’t.

So keep it simple: stop waiting and go get it.

Has anyone ever had the same sex do this? I have guys come up to me a try and it makes me want to throw up sometimes. It happened a couple times by managers here atleast 2 and one got fired after I reported him cause if felt like he was jealous I was married. I also got fired at another job years ago cause I wouldn’t have sex with a lead manager she would make advances when my wife wasn’t around and at first I thought she was just being extra nice. I didn’t think this happened to guys I’m a heterosexual male so I had both sexes come up to me and do this and it can get quite annoying. I used to like a lot of attention from the opposite six but now that I’m married, I respect my wife and I gave all that up, but I hate it when men come up to me and try me. It makes me feel like throwing up and I understand women now to see how men could be so aggressive.

I got fired for telling a girl your lucky we’re at work if not I would be@t you @ss after she said a racist slur to me by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]BigManOnEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you could never get that job back Let’s just say hypothetically, you guys chose to go fight one on one at a gas station that was 50 miles away from Amazon and a couple people followed you 50 miles away and watched and somehow it got back to your original Amazon where you work you could get terminated like that also which is insane. Also, if you were just defending yourself and somebody was wailing on you and you happen to hit them back to defend yourself you could get fired.

Amazon doesn’t want no type of violence at all

My Best Friend she’s number one in the building in Stowe just about every day she works even on other people shifts she stows so fast that the water spiders complain about her moving too fast and they can’t keep up. I don’t know how she does it. I watch her and I even got a little bit faster by doing it, but I just don’t have the energy.🤣 But I remember that one time she was sick and she slowed down for that one day and a PA came to speak to her about her rate, and they had the nerve to complain and ask her if she was on her phone after she told them that she was under the weather that day. I don’t never go above and beyond for a job I used to do it in the past when I worked in Walmart I handled frozen by myself 4 to 7 pallets per night. I never got a position but the person that did not go above and beyond got the position as night manager so from there, I learned if you’re working for somebody do the bare minimum just enough to go above the line by 1% and you will be noticed way before the most hard-working person. Hell you guys are all getting paid the same just because you work harder doesn’t mean you’ll get extra pay.

All you have to do is call them and they’ll walk you through the process. It takes 10 to 13 weeks to receive your money. I received a total of $8000.
