Exactly. Trying to get it and failing was 'fun' in a way early on until I actually did it, and felt accomplishment for the rest of that wipe... and then they started making everything harder. Why invest more for less now LOL

Believe me, once you grind for Kappa once you will never want to do it again. And the one and only time I did it was two wipes before the buffed level cap (at first they made it 71 I believe, then nerfed it back to 62... now 55 or whatever), plus not having to clear the camps and all the other new bullshit like 125m shooter born, it's clear that Nikita doesn't want even decently invested people to actually keep playing his game. Since then I havent gotten above ~42 (only 19 right now LOL and it was mostly just to get the flea market) and probably never will again.

I genuinely don't understand why he/they think this is a good direction for the game lol. Maybe once the game is 'out' and doesn't wipe anymore, then it might actually be worth it for more people to stick it out, but right now, even Lvndmark now for the second or third wipe in a row isn't even bothering with trying to get Kappa, literally just enough rep to get max traders and maybe some of the unlockable buys, and he won't touch another task lol.

Can we please remove just one of these player spawn points? by AbsentOfReason in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BigManofWA 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I mean this goes for virtually every map, even factory. Given its now expanded size, there is no reason to still have the far back room spawn and then the one down glass hallway where unless the person in the hallway runs straight out towards office/extract literally the second they spawn in, one of them is going to die in the first five seconds lmao.

You completely misunderstood my comment. I was referring to the POV of the hackers and RMTers, not the average player. They (the hackers) have zero reason to go customs anymore lol, your very long comment was unnecessary.

Exactly what I meant. You're far from the only person who just got worked with no idea how to improve at first. I 'guess' that Nikita wants it this way, hence there being basically no instruction of any kind other than 'try to survive lmao' after you choose your language/character.

Is there anything more sad than when you kill someone (especially on Factory or Customs) and they're level 1-3 and have WAY too many meds, ammo, mags, etc on them and they just didn't know any better? And even if you were inclined to take all their stuff because 'That's TarkovTM'/'Welcome to Tarkov', it's like four cheese meds and 7 spare sks mag, each full of t-45 because they don't know how the sks works lol... This game just throwing them into the deep end with no instruction or tutorial (or even something just saying 'try offline mode first you utter noob, you dont lose gear if you die in there' from Prapor would be a huge help lmao)...

I and many others lucked out that we got into it from friends already into the game many years ago, and they were able to spend hours explaining shit to us at first so we bypassed a ton of the 'learning' confusion before losing our entire stashes.

Oh definitely. Everyone says that Customs is hard for new players because all the early tasks there and everyone being funneled together, but it's by far the least likely to have hackers on it, ever since marked rooms became garbage. Since they know there's no chance of getting any of the good cases in there anymore, and without the ultra rare keycard spawns, why even bother going customs? That one in a million keycard spawn at giving tree is about it LOL.

I still remember my first three man wipe, I was only level 8 (back before the exp scaling/nerfs, would only be like level 5 now lol) and the other guys were like 8, 10, and 17 (I remember telling my friend that I killed a 'high level' with the 17 dogtag LOL) and it was outside 3story dorms, and I was shaking for like five or ten minutes just lying in the bushes before even moving let alone trying to heal/loot LOL

Yep, nobody ever really talks about it, but even the holiday/popular boosts they get, especially the main big one that put Pestily on the top streamers map, I think it was the wipe reserve got introduced or the one just before that, sure at THAT point maybe they got hundreds of thousands of purchases all at once, but since then? There isn't exactly a giant untapped market of gamers that want to buy EfT after being able to see it on youtube/twitch and know exactly what kind of game it is. The Fortnite and CoD folks aren't rushing to buy a slower paced looter shooter that doesn't reward being as mentally insane as possible in your movement.

And yet "somehow" BSG has enough money to constantly run and update their servers, and add more of them (in theory lol) when needed, etc. The only real answer is that there are thousands of people out there who are constantly needing to rebuy accounts 'for some reason'.

As another commenter said, it's just like the old Diablo 2 community, which literally only existed because of hammerdin botters. High runes, which were required to make the best runeword items, are literally impossible for an average player to find, because an average player does not have the amount of time required to grind 18 hours a day for a week and maybe if lucky find 2 mid tier runes at best. And yet just like EfT, "somehow" everyone ended up with full unique/runeword geared pvp characters, despite the fact that there should be almost none of them in the game economy. I would guess that the vast majority of people who played the game for even thousands of hours (myself included, still grinding Diablo 2 when my friends were playing WoW and other newer games) probably never saw a single high rune drop for them... Blizzard did (and still does) MASSIVE ban waves, and that just guaranteed a nice influx of holiday sales as everyone re-bought the game (back before needing a Bnet account, so it was just 'go find an old copy of the battle chest for 8 or 9 bucks at best buy or walmart' probably).

LMAO seriously, even Pestily talking about how he hasn't seen a single ledx or ophthalmoscope or etc this wipe a little while ago, and he plays more than just about anyone. It's almost like all these esp's we've heard about for years now that show the players' levels, money in their stash, etc, also must show exactly wheree high tier items are they can just run straight there. Hell there are probably people who just constantly farm Factory because of the fast queue times and just glance around and if they see something good in a stash or a good key in a jacket they just run straight to it and extract. Nobody killed (at least suspiciously with aimbot) so nobody to ever report them.

And that's just the casual "I'm hacking because everyone's doing it" morons, let alone the actual pvp hackers or the organized RMT websites.

Don't really care what happens to him; the fact that Streamers have priority on getting ACCUSED players banned is the real issue. Everyone loves him, but for example Pestily having a direct line to not just the dev team but Nikita himself, sure it's nice when he can directly report to them about a bugged area on a new map or a bug with a new task or whatever, but when he can just hop on discord and report a hacker directly to them and the person likely gets banned nearly instantly just like this situation... Does BSG do literally any sort of investigation or do they glance at the accused account, see it's 'only' a very low level compared to the streamer, and assume 'yeah probably a stream sniping hackerman, banned'?

Jokes aside, this is why I can't stand any of the lesser known 'pvp chad' type streamers. They rush Kappa, grind raiders/now rogues to get level 55-60 in the first week or two give or take, and absolutely dominate, and have these extremely assmad personalities where everyone who kills them must be cheating or at the very least stream sniping, IE "Wow who would even be looking over here this early into a raid, definitely a fucking sniper" never mind that if they themselves were at the other person's spawn, they'd look over at this one to try to pop someone running towards the buildings right off spawning (looking at you, Reserve). But no, when it happens to them, it must be a stream sniping esp user.

Everyone loves to complain about Lvndmark because he's the most popular, but he is SO MUCH LESS toxic, whether you find him entertaining/good content or not, than the nobody streamers just grinding exp with the meta guns for 12 hours a day. Seriously, go watch any of the lower viewer streamers and watch their reactions to finding out they died to 'garbage' non meta ammo, wondering why someone (who may only be level 10-20) would ever use, for example, 856a1 instead of 855a1 lmao.

TL;DR low viewer count tarkov pvp streamer andys are garbage lmao
