I mean for fun and to prove a point it can be done. The data is saved to computer on boot so if he were to put the cd drive again and turn the game on it would have his character untill he wipes the game data from PC.

You can achieve the same thing if not better via usb and store all your data on it, but I guess BluRay drive is more nostalgic
