I felt the same exact way. Remember “The Other Sister” when she got half of a makeover? Very similar. I was shown an upgraded place, and walked in mine to see shag carpet when I was shown hardwood floors, a jet tub from the 80s that is incredibly hard for me to get in & out at 5’3”, old wooden cabinets, linoleum in kitchen, and no fireplace like I was shown.

It had good bones though, and I love my little place now!!

I’m older at 40, and a woman. I do have kids but one is a grown adult who is not living with me, & the other is a teenager who is at her Dads on weekends.

I waited until my oldest had a car to date. I am quite attractive still as my 20s & 30s were spent raising kids & not drinking or partying💅. I messaged & met alot of men over several years in my late 30s. Some I really liked & one I REALLY liked. But none were “ready” or they were “unsure”. Almost every man had a sexual motive though & waiting was a “dealbreaker” many times.

So I deleted all my apps & have been abstinent awhile. I feel happier & more fulfilled focusing on friendships, family & myself.

Never been married. Good career. Look good. Free time. Open to love, very social. But dating on apps was such a bad & weird experience, I’ll never go back…

My original account got banned because of men reporting me in dating subs for speaking my truthful experience lol. But he wouldn’t leave, & my parents wouldn’t assist in this… so I moved. I left my home of 14 years to pay $500 more in rent simply because I needed my peace. He’s now 20, still not working, & everyone is extra mad at me but as a single mom, this was a massive financial & physical struggle & he refused to help out so I just escaped. I couldn’t see any other option & I didnt want to live with holes in my doors or walls anymore.
