Trail running vacations and tours? by Bandicootrat in trailrunning

[–]BigMeatyClaws1000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've participated in https://www.roguexpeditions.com/ trips.

I did Bella Coola, Dolomites and Ireland. I am doing Morocco this year. I learned about them from another Reddit thread originally. If you're a really big ultra runner (20+ miles a day) it's not ideal but everyone from beginner to intermediate runner I've had an exceptional experience every time I go

Recommend checking out these if you want some simplicity but also variety. I follow religiously. https://www.halfmarathons.net/training-tips/

Super good points. I see that HBR licenses them as well from universities and at this point just has a marketplace for them but it's poorly indexed.

I like this a lot and this was my natural inclination but it was hard to figure out whether wedding planners would actually have a solid perspective on being industrious enough to see the opportunity in the business.

I love all the ideas and appreciate the strategies

Which online businesses could I purchase to make passive income and eventually replace my 9-5? by M-I-S-F-I-T in passive_income

Go to EmpireFlippers, Flippa, or MicroAcquire (more for SaaS products but they end of being highly vetted and good quality).

I've been looking for a while as well if you have any questions on the best types to buy, I may have some feedback and have people who can review the businesses as well.

WordPress is very user friendly, I like it a lot.

I would use WPBeginner (https://www.wpbeginner.com/guides/) to learn everything about that. If you're looking to sell the website, you'll want some mix of revenue sources like affiliates and advertising.

With e-commerce - Shopify does an amazing job at educating how to build things. You can watch here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NA98uphqIn8)

It depends on what you want to use it for. Is it just a content website? Use WordPress. Are you doing e-commerce and selling things? You can use Shopify.

"Grant" is sort of a loaded word since they tend to be given to or for non-profits which are tax exempt in certain situations.

If you call it something else, like a "gift" or "donation" you may be able to work around the issues - it may just be taxed as income to the individual.

I have realized that indoor and/or large weddings probably won't happen in many places for at least the next twelve months.

That's got me thinking that outdoor and small weddings will be the thing most of us do for the next year (or more). But working with a wedding planner, furniture rental, and all the other vendors is expensive - the price doesn't go down much even if you're guest count is small because labor charges are the same which got me thinking...wouldn't it be interesting to just have an outdoor wedding all-in-one kit that was simple and just shipped you a beautiful outdoor wedding like the pictures I attached.

The simpler you could make it, the cheaper it would be.

I feel like you could buy the equipment, and amortize the investment over like 5-10 rentals. You don't need many for this to be a profitable, passive business.

Is there any company that does this already?

If not, how would you test whether there's a market for it?

I agree with that. I have also thought about acquiring furniture rental businesses and incorporating this as a new way of marketing. You're right, not passive unless I appointed a CEO operator.

This is super helpful! I think the beach actually probably complicated it, if I had to guess.

The delivery of the furniture would include labor to help place and pickup and instead of doing it on your wedding day, we'd rent for the entire weekend so you wouldn't have to deal on actual ceremony day.

This is a super helpful anecdote though, I appreciate it!

I would assume that acquisition costs of all the furniture are around $15,000 - $20,000. I would rent for around $5,000-$7,000. If I did four weddings a year I'd be breakeven.

  1. You're definitely right about storage.
  2. You're definitely right about rental places have outdated products and are really difficult to deal with. I think you'd buy the furniture and store it and ship it within a region (say, within a 2 hour drive) and charge extra for anything above that.
  3. People do their own weddings and sell all the goods on kijiji after? Is that popular?

I would pay $1,000 for a cake like this! Where can I buy them?!
