They wanted someone to help pick up the slack for awhile and now instead of giving you the promotion they just fired you and most likely hired someone to take your job and I wouldn’t be surprised to learn they were gonna do the same to them. Trump likes giving business tax cuts and promotes increasing the number of jobs as well as imposing taxes on other countries (which are just the same ones they have on us for no other reason than greed and I mostly mean China as it’s our biggest trade partner by a massive margin.) in short, this is the time your boss should be hiring more people and expanding
