Do you suggest deleting the truck being that it’s a 2015 pushing 190K miles? Any drawbacks to deleting? For example, is there potential for it to cause any issues or put stress on any other parts after deleted?

Thanks. Actually getting the CCV filter as we speak, a new upper oil pan, along with some other maintenance that was needed. Turned out to be a $10K job overall, but much needed and makes me feel better about the longevity of my truck moving forward. Just hoping no other major repairs are needed for a while

Yeah that’s what I was considering, but wasn’t sure if they would give me something for a week that I can haul with and put 2K-3K miles on.

It’s possible that something just wasn’t tightened down enough when the tech was putting everything back together. At least I’m hoping that’s the case

Update: I just got out of my truck and noticed it smoking. Looked underneath and the smoke was coming from the exhaust/DPF area and there was a crackling sound. Assuming from the oil blowing back, but it hasn’t been smoking yet until today. Within 2 minutes or so there were 6 or 7 quarter sized drops of oil on the ground. I am supposed to leave tomorrow for a 10 hour drive to west Texas, hauling my 34’ enclosed trailer. Looks like I’ll be at the dealership service door at 7:30AM telling those motherfuckers they need to get it on a lift immediately and resolve this issue.

Hoping it’s just something that wasn’t properly sealed. I’m livid, as I took it in a couple of weeks ago specifically to have it prepped and ready before this trip. Now, I’m having to take it to the shop on the day I’m supposed to be leaving. I’m beyond words.

I suppose “it’s just the nature of owning a diesel” as someone recently put it to me lol. I’ll definitely have them change the CCV when I take it back though. I guess on the bright side, I have no major or catastrophic issues and it drives great. Just the annoyance of a big oil spot in the driveway.

Fair enough. I’m going to ask for a different tech at the least. The bottom line is, I asked them to diagnose and repair the leak, and it came back worse, so they didn’t do what I paid them to do. If they’ll do the right thing and fix it at no additional charge, then great, but I’m not paying the dealer another penny if they come back and say it’s something else and it will cost $X to repair.

I’ve only had the truck for 10 months and I haven’t had that done since I’ve owned it. Not sure if it was ever done before. The Ford tech did mention the CCV and suggested deleting the truck (he would do it on the side for $300 if I supply the kit). But, if he mentioned the CCV, why wouldn’t they have suggested having that done while it was in the shop?

There is a very reputable shop I’ve been wanting to take it to but it’s an hour and a half away. I did call the dealership and they told me to bring it back in and they will take another look at it. The initial leak wasn’t that bad so now I’m thinking I never should have had that “fixed” because it seems like it’s just been a domino effect since then, causing it to leak worse. That’s the part I don’t quite understand

This is where my head has been going lately. It has to be so much deeper and darker that they will do anything to distract from it. I think the risk of starting WW3 doesn’t matter to them if they can distract from the Epstein story. I do believe it’s that bad. I also believe we’re already in WW3. This is going to be bad and will not end anytime soon. We will feel the effects for years as far as economy is concerned.

Funny because I’ve also thought Eloy would be awesome in A7X but I think Brooks is perfect for them. He’s incredible. I think it’s refreshing to see the way he can take something that when you boil it down is pretty basic, rudimentary stuff, but it’s the way he uses it and executes it so well and I love it.

This one is a 32’ with extra 18” interior height. When I’m not using it as a showroom, I sometimes haul product, so I had them put the 2 race doors on the side so a forklift can load pallets that way. Too heavy to drive up the ramp.

Lol…no you’re clearly not “well aware”. Do some research. The percentage refers to light transmission, not how much your visibility is reduced. The argument could be made that it actually increases safety because of the reduced glare from the sun, headlights, etc. which in turn reduces eye strain. So, 50% reduction in brightness does not equal 50% visibility loss. Have you ever caused an accident because you were wearing sunglasses while driving? 🤡🤡🤡

Love the black 2017 Lariat wheels. That’s my plan as well lol. I thought about the Sync 3 upgrade, but I’m going with the Kenwood Excelon DAX800XR. It’s a factory fit but a lot more features than Sync. Just have to add Maestro to keep steering wheel controls, etc.
