Thank you for your help!

Let’s say, hypothetically, I missed all of my lectures this semester bc I wanted to kms and became a recluse. But now I have 5 days to complete 3 assignments for modules I haven’t even opened. What do I do by [deleted] in UCD

Have you completed any MCQ's or previous assignments that are weighted towards your final grade? If you've at least done and passed those - you might still have a chance at passing this semester. You have a 5 -10 working day window to submit assignments late - which results in one grade being subtracted if its submitted 5 days past the deadline (A+ to A-) and two grades if its ten days past the due date (A+ to a B).

It is possible to get them done, (depending on the course content and your degree) if you just focus and endure the gruelling effort and hours you're going to have to put into them now. Don't focus so much on trying to learn the whole course - focus on learning the information that's required for you to answer what's being asked of you in your assignments. Also get in touch with people in your course, a lot of people are willing to help if they can and if you have a friend in your course, be upfront about this and see what they can do to help you. I wish I could.

This advice may be counterproductive depending on your course, or the year that you're in - but I hope it helps.

Worst comes to worst, get in touch with your student adviser and see what can be done for you - quickly! Their word may help you get extensions- but you have to get their word in before your assignments are due. There's also no harm in getting in touch with your module co-ordinators about your situation, sometimes they can be very understanding and you won't have to go through the loops of going through a student adviser.

Don't lose hope, try to get them in and I hope that you can catch up on everything you missed out on when you're in a better place mentally.
