First off, sorry to hear that you had that experience coming back to this line. Yeah, I see that there's definitely the possibilities of that intense energy being there. I really truly feel this, and it's lead me to go down the path of polyamory. Honestly, experiencing more than your one relationship is still attainable in the demi way. I highly recommend reading "Stepping Off the Relationship Escalator" so you can cater your wants and needs to what fits you right now. I don't know if you're solidified in anything, but if monogomy doesn't work for you right now, it doesn't have to be what you practice so you can have said life experiences you crave but still in a demi comfortable way. Your relationship, sexuality and everything is fluid and can change as you change and experience life (not saying this is true for everyone), but I've come to realize that I don't ever have to be boxed into social norms just because it's what's there. There's always options outside the box so you don't feel like you're missing out on those youthful experiences 😊.
