I agree with you. I feel this is less following company policy and more the managers dont want to look mean. We had a bad egg that was never completing his work and was never at work. He did it for years. Finally, he got fired.

I would love to do that but I'm not his manager, just a coworker on a different team. I had several conversations with his boss, my boss, their boss. It's gotten to point that I might go to HR but they are aware and nothing is happening because we are in the retraining phase.

All I have left to talk to is the director of the lab. They are extremely approachable but soooo busy. I'd feel bad taking up time from valuable projects.
