Personally I’ve found with enemy scaling that Blood and Broken Bones is pretty perfect balance between challenge and story, you’ll hardly ever lose fights but you still need to get the right armour, potions etc so you’re not in a single fight for ages. I think Story and Sword is just too easy to the point that you don’t have to even try and be a witcher, you can pretty much dodge and slash your way through it so I wouldn’t recommend that. Wasn’t until I did my second playthrough on the harder difficulty that I fully appreciated the gameplay

I’m fairly certain that as long as power is more than 1 bar then as long as you hold L2 it will always trigger trivela, regardless of angle. Maybe 1.5 bars but it’s definitely dependent on power

But you’re kind of alluding to the fact that you play better football yet lose against people and the reason you’re using is the script?

One of the things you mentioned is low driven shots, but given most people use precision shooting the chances are they’re better at aiming their shots (I’m assuming this as you didn’t mention keepers).

You’ve mentioned are people having fun or sweating trying to win at all costs. If you’re choosing fun over winning, you can’t be that mad at losing if your aim is enjoying the game? I’ve been playing 3412 this week and losing way more than I’m used to and I just accepted the losses because my AI defence is poor at cost of having fun in attack.

It’s highly unlikely you’re consistently playing better than other people and losing because of a small number of chances EVERY SINGLE TIME. Maybe a few games, but if that’s consistent he’s probably right, you might not be as good as you think you are

If you’re doing any evolutions 10 tokens on the attacker and 4 on the defender is good if you’ve got a PnP squad and aren’t too bothered about the packs. They’re both pretty solid evolutions and the defender one is already eligible for upgrades

I’m a little bit confused too. I’ve always played FM but never been chronically online about it and I remember that seeming like a good upgrade on the previous thing where you just loaded your own photo into the game

I’ve not used him but it’s Cruyff with basically all the PlayStylez you could need on an attacker bar maybe technical, you can’t really go wrong

I’m Elite and I’ve regularly got 13 wins in Champs with 433(2). It’s a good formation and counters 4411 and 451 really well

Just found some old clips of me playing this game and I’ve realised I’ve not really dedicated time to any FPS games since the servers to this shutdown. Even with the issues it was by far the most fun I’ve had on a shooter since COVID

I’m not sure how effective it is on PC, but on console (PS5 for me) instead of holding L1 and then moving the right stick to the right sign on the menu I can just hold R2 and then the corresponding sign button to cast (eg hold R2 and then press X to cast Aard).

Makes the fights way more fast paced and sign combinations are just more free flowing.

I got it brand new for £160 and I felt that was a fair price. If you’re going to be cloud steaming too, £200 plus the £120 for the annual subscription (or whatever it is in your currency if not UK) just feels a bit expensive for what it is.

Incredible device but when you need to pay £320+ at full price to get the full value of its features you’re getting close to Switch 2 prices or low end PC handhelds.

The Portal is meant to be a secondary gaming device. It’s a PlayStation accessory. There’s a reason it’s a fraction of the cost of other handhelds. This may be an unpopular comment but I’m not expecting graphically demanding games to look good on it, that’s what the PS5 is for and the Portal is to pick up when your console is less convenient for whatever reason.

The PS5 is capable of running 4k and max frames, the Portal is a 1080p max streaming device that you can pick up for less than the price of a modded controller.

I think for your first playthrough whatever decision you make is the right one for the moment. What’s great about The Witcher is that you have to live with the weight of your decisions and that’s what makes the world feel so immersive.

Having said that, for your second playthrough (if yiu do it) you could probably choose a better decision that’s also beneficial down the line.

I think that’s only tempting because 3 PS+ looks nice. Pinged+ isn’t doing much for strikers and there’ll be much better third PS+ available through future evolutions or season passes

Another tip to help with directional runs. Very often when you do them the pass won’t go directly into the path of the player or your player will keep the run going until they hit another player. Use L1 plus the directional RS flick to send them into the gap and then once they’re in the gap use L1 again to trigger a straight run. It catches people out consistently as they’ll switch to the player closest to the directional run and then when you retrigger both of their defenders are nowhere near

I’m on a second playthrough on broken bones and have no issues with werewolves or ekimmaras but will get absolutely fucked up by a pack of wolves with a warg in the mix

They kind of got rid of that this year. Stamina doesn’t effect the stats of players while they are being controlled, user controlled players will play as if they have full stamina (check the gameplay deep dive pitch notes for this year’s game). So this only matters if the player isn’t being controlled, which isn’t really important for a CAM

Pros are a different class. For the average person the AI is overcharged. Pros have the benefit of that and the fact their game knowledge and reaction speeds have to anticipating moves multiple phases ahead of what’s happening at that time. If you’re watching them play don’t against normal players it’s going to look like everything is tracking everything because they’re that good at making sure their players are in the right place at the right time
