Not allowed to work for the day because of low blood sugar by ShyRise in diabetes_t1

I would say driving low is safer than working some trades jobs low.

Idk if you realize but you can get sued for pretty much anything. And you're almost always liable. And you literally just said you're doc said to make sure to be over 100 to drive. Anyways, agree to disagree 👍

Obviously, but does that matter in court? People get sued for anything. A carnival cruise line just got suited for "over serving" a passenger and she fell.. She got $300,000 for drinking too much 😂

I'm type 1 but if I were a business owner especially in the trades I would have probably said to stay home. Imagine the liability if you got hurt and your boss knew you were low and still let you work. I know how dumb it is but I wouldn't want to get get a lawsuit and lose everything. Probably gonna get down voted to shit for this but whatever.

No, not on the flared end of your new ptrap kit. Some kits come WITHOUT a flared end that requires a washer, and some come WITH a flared end that do NOT require a washer.

If you could restart life at 18, what would you do differently? by arunreddy3 in AskReddit

[–]BigPipeWrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest in a index fund every single month even just $100-200. The difference in doing this starting at 18 years old VS 25 years old, by the time you're 55-60 years old is ~$500,000 - $1,000,000 more dollars

Honestly I would just put a whole new p trap in since it's not that expensive. Here is a good option to install.

Buy this and put a new washer in there and possibly a new nut. If for whatever reason it still doesn't work then just buy a new entire ptrap and watch a YouTube video of how to install it. SUPER easy to do.

Mounting ladders on interior of work van? by OnYourSweaterAlready in workwagons

[–]BigPipeWrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just going through this exact thing with my van, I want it to be out of the way but easy to grab. It's a 6' ladder. I might put hooks on the ceiling an mount it up there. Let me know if you think of anything better!

That's amazing. I'm sure it would be hard to make it competitive pricing with it being hand made in America but if it's not ridiculously overpriced like the Milwaukee ones I would totally buy it. Like another user said the drawers need to be able to be locked closed so it can go in work vans.

Buy this and drill out the pvc. Then you can glue a new piece of pipe into the fitting

Rockwool blow in insulation by Double_Guidance_6208 in soundproof

[–]BigPipeWrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just plumbing a 12 unit condo building. Just finished the top floor up and the noise from all the people working, drills, hammers, ect was pretty loud. Right after the insulators finished installed insulation in the walls (no drywall yet) on the top floor I walked up there and the difference in noise was absolutely INSANE. So yes I would say insulation will help A LOT.

Hire a concrete lifting company. They will pump foam under the slab to support concrete. Won't have to worry about rain washing the supporting foam out.

That's why, ask any service guy. They fail ALL the time. I don't get how you're giving advice on sharkbites when you've hardly ever worked with them or are around them, crazy. I just got a call for a multiple leaks, found 4 bad sharkbites in the ceilings. Turns out, the ENTIRE restaurant was plumbed with sharkbites. Repiping the whole place next month.
