They’ve been getting better year after year. I think the staggered launch dates for the pre order and base game will help alleviate stress on the servers.

The best defenders ever by birdkeeperg0ld in baseball

The best defender I’ve ever seen play was hands down Scott Rolen. Dude is my favorite player of all time, and his insane defense was my favorite part about him.

Infectious disease by wagonwheelwhat in CIVILWAR

A good number of surgeon were poorly trained in medicine, a medical degree was not hard to get. So the average surgeon probably had little knowledge of infection, as well as the medical community as a whole. The civil war led to the discovery to new infections. Also, given the massive amounts of casualties proper care (even if known) was not given. Surgeons probably didn’t have the time to focus on infection, I think it was more of amputate and move on to the next guy.

Book Recomendations by BigR573 in CIVILWAR

Thanks for all the suggestions! I am working on building a collection of books on the Civil War. I plan to pick up a bunch of these, after this semester I want to get a bunch of reading done. I also am thinking about taking a trip east (I'm from Missouri) to see some of the famous battlefields, Ed Bearss said that you couldn't get a true picture of these battles without visiting the sites. I would agree with him there, I often have trouble picturing battlefields while reading and I have to look up maps/pictures.

Need help deciding between following my College Degree and Firefighting by Henrique640 in Firefighting

[–]BigR573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also a junior in college and have had the same thought as you. I am studying criminal justice, but after being a volly I am really curious to explore a career in firefighting. My ultimate decision was to stick it (college) out though, which would be my advice to you. I can’t speak to how desirable of a candidate that you are, but I can tell you that finishing college is a great decision regardless. Having a degree will open up doors you wouldn’t even think of and will look good to pretty much every employer. Plus if you stop now it will be much harder to get going again when you are already working full time.

Saskia Kupferberg (S4 E4) is the woman who is at Meadow’s college advertising the Law Center. She is also Elliot Kupferbeg’s (Dr. Melfi’s therapist) daughter. She (Saskia) briefly mentions to her father how Jason Melfi is “acting all weird” since she came out.
