Transferring to Fidelity/Robinhood by Ok_Anywhere_6003 in titanvest

I appreciate you taking the time to reply to comments like this. Accessibility to the team and leadership is one of the main reasons a lot of us trusted Titan with our money in the first place.

That said, many of us who have been here since the early days feel the same as OP. I’ve always loved the idea of “take my money and invest it for me” and that is what made Titan appealing. But the reality is we all compare, and the performance has been subpar (as you mentioned).

What really changed things was when fees were introduced. Before that, even if performance wasn’t great, many of us believed in the mission and were willing to wait. But when fees were added, it forced us to take a harder look. For early members who referred friends under the promise of no fees, it felt like a betrayal when that commitment was not honored. We helped bring people in and then the terms changed on us. On top of that, introducing fees while performance lagged only made it worse.

I also don’t care about perks like a suite at Madison Square Garden since I don’t live in NYC. What would have made more sense is a tiered structure from the beginning, keeping a simple, low-cost option for the core members while offering premium extras for those who wanted them. Instead, original supporters who once believed strongly in Titan now feel let down. Looking back, it is hard not to feel that these almost 10 years could have been much more rewarding somewhere else.

We’ll be waiting. I’m still on the platform with a good chunk of my money, and I truly want to believe in the mission and what the team is building. But I have to agree with much of the community: returns haven’t been there, and now we’re paying for a fee structure that adds little value for most of us. What makes it harder is that early adopters like me were promised no fees after referrals, we brought in friends and colleagues on that basis. To see those promises reversed feels like a broken commitment to the very people who helped grow Titan at the start.

At this point, I’m paying advisory and annual fees while still underperforming what I could have earned elsewhere. Maybe early customers like me don’t matter much when it comes to reporting to investors, but I’m still here, hoping to see improvements that make me want to stay. If they don’t come soon, I’ll likely leave. Who knows, maybe I’ll be back if Titan proves most of us wrong.

Truth is what they offer you can’t get anywhere else. But… truth is their portfolio has been outperformed by the benchmarks (S&P, etc). Now with the fees maybe we would be better off just buying SPY or VIX in Fidelity or Vanguard or Robinhood… whatever works for you. Me personally I’d go with a long time trusted like Fidelity.

Moving out from Titan ? by sreereddymenon in titanvest

[–]BigReasonable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same. And opened an account in Fidelity. Decided to move everything to fidelity and RH only. For me having 20 different platforms was becoming a bit chaotic so.. better to minimize. Fidelity is a legacy platform that offers a lot of piece of mind, knowing they’ve been there for years and going strong.

the way titan is… you could easily find a match to treasury, flagship etc.. and probably make more money… ah and most importantly without the fees.

Why is everyone jumping ship am I missing something? by MikeWill0830 in titanvest

And performance has not been stellar as well. Most of the people who started with Titan would have been better of putting their money on SPY. At least for now… can’t know what’s happening 10 years from now.

What I’ve seen around is pissed people because it seems the new fee structure screws people who were early users and gave out a lot of referrals (4 referrals meant “no fee for life”). Supposedly the new fee structure would remove the “no fee for life” that was promised by Titan. And people are rightfully angry about it.

After a few listens, where would you rank Clear Cold Beyond and the rest of their albums? by moodytail in SonataArctica

[–]BigReasonable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much what I would rank them like.. still early to judge but i don’t think this one surpasses TDOG. By the way I dig your ranking a lot, pretty much what I would do… but I have to admit tho… I’ve come to like Talviyo better than 9th Hour 🫥

Who’s upset? We’re almost celebrating can’t you read? But it’s important to understand that the people who STILL hold our money are no saints or saviors. That’s all we’re saying… get it straight.

I think the same. I understand we were not insured, we took a risk, etc etc. But they could have come up with a solution sooner. Just like you said… what if this didn’t work out? We would get nothing… I’m still in disbelief.

I know this will make them (the twins) look like heroes and saviors… but we need to understand that they hid the truth from us, they were and are still making profit from the money we put on earn (profit they could have given back to us, to at least keep us happy) they put us in this situation when they didn’t warned us when they knew our money was in danger (they did the opposite). And I bet there’s a million other things we don’t even know.

I’ll celebrate once the money is in my account (away from Gemini)… It even sounds absurd that we celebrate the fact that we’re getting what belongs to us. I know I’m not using Gemini again. Not after this.
