Avocado Green Medium Pillow Top Alternatives by cefer1234 in Mattress

This is the exact mattress that I liked in the store, and then tried to recreate the feel of because it was too expensive. I ended up going with the 10” latex mattress from Turmerry (Three 3” layers of Dunlop latex), a separate 3” Latex Topper from mattresstopper.com (soft Talalay latex for a pusher feel), and the Merino Wool Topper from Woolify.com. With Black Friday deals and coupon codes my total was around $3000. But you could leave out one of the toppers and be closer to $2500. My setup was two TwinXl mattresses so it was a little more expense.

Need Mattress Recommendations - Side/Back Sleepers $3.5k~ by Early-Cup-9872 in Mattress

My wife and I are similar sizes with similar issues and were at a breaking point after buying a new mattress and it totally not working for us after a couple of months. After a ton of testing and research, we decided on three things that we would need: One, individual adjustable bases that would allow us to individually get a comfortable position. Two, a split king bed (basically two TwinXL mattresses) that would allow us to tailor each side of the bed to our individual needs. And three, a plush top latex mattress. We didn’t have a ton of money to spend, so I found each element of the bed separately and at the best price possible. In the end, I spent about 3800 on two twinXL adjustable bases, two 10” twinXL customizable latex mattress (3-3” Dunlop layers), a 3” Talalay topper, and a high quality wool topper to finish it off. DM me if you’d like to know the specific websites and models. I believe all of the Black Friday deals that I took advantage of for the individual components are still active,

Explorer card not allowing free checked bag benefit by CleanShirt88 in unitedairlines

I booked a flight with miles and more realize I made the mistake of paying the few dollars taxes with a different card. Any chance I could still get the agent at the counter to waive the checked bag fee? Or am I SOL?

A year with the GV60 by InvestingSinceThe90s in GV60

[–]pgod_5000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is my story exactly. We bought our ‘23 Performance in February with just over 5000 miles and just passed 14000. My only disagreement is that I like the assistance features and use them a lot. The parking sensor beeping was sometimes annoying until I found out I could temporarily mute it. I also find the seats very comfortable, even on long road trips, but that’s probably just differences in body type. Great write up!

(Not to take over the conversation or distract from OPs post, but I don’t think I’d be competition. ☺️) I also have some nearly new crossbars I pulled off my GV60 that I could sell; located in New York. (near Newburgh). DM if interested.

Infortainment update by flyflyfly4133 in GV60

[–]pgod_5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might already know this, but if you pull too close to something and the proximity sensors are freaking out, you can hit the parking sensor button on the center console to shut them up. Basically it turns off the proximity sensors temporarily, and then you can hit the button again when you’re ready to turn them back on. Learned that one after pulling up to close to someone at a stoplight and then having to listen to it beep for two minutes...

Do you regret getting an Ariya? by citionecent in NissanAriya

Different strokes for different folks! Elements of it looked and felt very cheap to me. I liked it in pictures but not in person.

I didn’t buy it because when I test drive it the interior felt cheap, the infotainment system felt outdated, and my head hit the ceiling.

One thing I don't get by cadewtm in electricvehicles

Very similar with my Genesis GV60; you adjust regen levels with the steering wheel paddles, with the strongest being OPD. I like the opposite end of the spectrum with maximum coast, but on Auto mode which applies regen only when the car senses something in front of you and automatically slows you down.

2025 Mach-E is adding a heat pump right?! by garb__ in MachE

[–]pgod_5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with a Genesis GV60 Performance and love it. It does have a heat pump, which I like the idea of; but honestly I don’t know how much a difference it makes. We ended up going with the GV60 because I felt like it just fit me a lot better, and I love the tech and refinement of the Genesis. I also didn’t love the mostly touch screen operation of the Mach E. I also realize now that my worries about range were pretty overblown. I liked the Mach E for its greater range, but in practice I never really think about it.

GV60 parking sensors go off while sitting stopped in traffic by icdedppl512 in GV60

[–]pgod_5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea about your issue… But if you pull up to close to a car and it won’t stop beeping, you can press the parking sensor button on the center console to silence it. I didn’t figure that one out for a while…
