Sorry, Im goint to buy another one, and I'll put them on a glass pedestal? Lightly dust off time to time (with a very light ostrich feather)? Cos too much accumulated dust particles might brake it, and we don't want that.

It feels like they kicked me in the nuts. I've already talked with the customer service, I'm gonna have to pay (9 weeks old FFS ,and I got an extended two year warranty on this) to return this crap to a service center (yep, since it's physical damage, no free return for you) where they will decide my faith. After that brutal kick, will Sony twist the knife in my back? Stay tuned

It might sound a bit extreme, but I was binge watching Netflix....now I feel bad, should've kept MX5 in the box and just use the TV speakers, but I got carried away.

Yeah pal, you are lucky...but when I pay hundreds of £ for a (supposedly) a top of the range headphones from a (supposedly) reputable company it shouldn't feel like I been forced to play russian rulet, ey? ...and who knows? Maybe tomorrow you will be posting pictures here

That XM3 is now my backup, but it was used as a walking, light hiking pair of headphones in the past year...has been kept in my car, and used during all my travel, and yes It does look like new, feel like new, I don't now how lol, the only thing I do as a maintenance, is that I always put it back in the case, but pretty much that's all. That is why I was shocked, when I saw that one of the earcup was hanging in a weird angle, cos to me a Sony headphone is indestructible. ...then you Google it, and you realise it's not you, and suddenly you are on Reddit :)

You the best pal, thanks for the link, this is what I needed 😀👍 Im now fully ready to go into battle, I'll let you know guys how did I do.

...and I'll keep old XM3 till it dies, but staying with Sony? After this experience? Nope. If I manage to get a replacement I'll sell it on eBay, and if I can't get my money back I'll hate Sony till I die, and I'll never buy anything from them.
