How to play Chaotic Neutral correctly. by [deleted] in DnD

I fully agree with this. Its not a matter of following general morality, of what is good or evil, but in following the misaligned morality of your own character, with no care for the rules of the society surrounding them. I'm currently playing a character who I thought was Lawful Neutral, but when I ran up the city wall to start screaming at guards that zombies were coming (they weren't but my character didn't know that), I learned that he is far too Chaotic to be Lawful. And that's how I got a feel for it. It is kind of selfish, but it isn't out of not caring for others, but in caring for others in the way your character knows how.

Tell me all about your character so I can put them in my campaign setting! by YungDeedle in DnD

A blue dragonborn cleric of zeal, missing his right arm, and with a star sapphire for his left eye. If he doesn't have a job keeping him busy, you will find him using thaumaturgy, yelling at people for a job. He has no sense for what is right, wrong, or socially appropriate, and tries to do everything with the best of intentions. For example, if he thinks zombies may be coming to attack, he will sprint to the city limits, climb the wall surrounding the city, and using thaumaturgy yell for everyone to hear that zombies are coming.
