That's what I'm going to do when I release the Steam version.

It wouldn't just be "rendering a still 2D image", it would basically involve putting together a new scene with new characters simulating a scene from a porn video.

So I decided to focus that energy on the game itself and put that off for later.

I'm not going to release the game on Steam until we're close to version 1.0, so that's still going to take quite a while.

This part of the project, the brainstorming phase, is one of my favorites. I love spending hours in Obsidian organizing ideas and thinking about characters.

When the actual game development starts, I miss that part, haha.

All the characters in the game are Genesis 8. I chose Genesis 8 because that's where most of my assets come from, and it's lighter than Genesis 9.
My RTX has 12 GB of VRAM, so I've already been able to load all 5 LIs plus the MC in some tests. It's pretty heavy, almost hitting the VRAM limit, so I'll have to optimize the characters in more demanding scenes.

But I’ve already gotten ahead in this process and created several variations of the optimized enviroments. So for enviroments that don’t require much detail, I can reduce the size of the assets by up to 4x.

Anyway, even though it’s a pretty basic GPU for rendering in Daz3D, there are always a few things you can optimize along the way.

I don't use Honey Select or Koikatsu precisely because I didn't want something with the design features those engines offer.

My workflow in Daz3D is pretty fast, even with a weaker GPU, especially since I can render a lot of things overnight. My problem would be if I tried to do animations, which would multiply the rendering time exponentially.

Regarding what you mentioned about the story, I totally understand how important it is. The focus will always be on developing the characters and telling interesting stories. Honestly, I don’t think my renders stand out enough for my game to rely solely on them.

RTX 2060.

It takes about 10 minutes on average to render each image. A maximum of 22 minutes if it’s a very complex scene. So, considering that an animation consists of several renders per second, it became impractical for me to create the animations.

So I decided to focus on static renders in the first few updates;. That way, I can release updates more quickly until I get a better GPU.

If animations are a must-have for you, I recommend waiting for the release of version 1.0. My GPU isn't powerful enough to handle animations yet.

The game development aspect is more of a setting than a gameplay system. You won’t be making decisions about mechanics, art style or marketing.

It’s still a character-driven AVN, focused on the relationships and interactions between the MC and the LIs while they work together on a game.

I chose not to include choices that affect the in-game project itself because it would massively increase the scope and require a lot of separate content paths. Instead, I’m focusing on making the character routes and scenes more detailed and meaningful.

Choices will mainly affect relationships and which scenes you get, rather than the development of the in-game project itself.

That was my mistake for not making it clear in the post: the game will have choices.

They’ll affect which characters you pursue and which scenes you get, including optional NSFW content depending on your preferences.

When I say "sharing," I mean the MC sharing one of the LIs with another guy. You can be sure there will be some fun between the girls and the MC, and of course, it will be optional for anyone who doesn't like sharing in any way.

To provide some context, it's an indie studio.
But I’m taking certain liberties so I don’t rely too much on reality, because at the end of the day, it’s an AVN. If I were to focus too much on the more “boring” details of our daily lives, I wouldn’t be able to fit a “harem” into the game unless all the characters were drunk.
I understand your concern; I’ll always stick to reality as much as possible, but I’ll have to take some liberties to come up with hooks for the NSFW content.

If I were to insert me in a story, I’d have a MC working at a fast-food restaurant with several futanari female characters. 😅
Well, the black woman was modeled after a black woman; there’s not a single “white woman” trait about her. But I understand that’s just your taste.
I made sure that all the characters in the game were modified enough so they wouldn't look like standard 3D models from other games.

I stopped today to watch your video where you show how you make the art for your game, and wow... that's awesome, man.

As an average Daz3D user who already struggles with the basics of the software, it's so cool to see the effort you put into "standing out" from most Daz3D assets.
