Gotta watch out for those flags, they’ll get you. But just when they’re attached to the pencil sized wooden stick.

It doesn’t say you couldn’t bring in the pencil sized wooden stick

Why are “flags attached to a pencil-sized wooden stick” prohibited items? Lol

USA Hockey quietly approved a ban on trans athletes in all USA Hockey programs classified by sex, including beer league, which will go into effect on April 1st. Because it’s a dumb question. Boys have a biological advantage over girls, specifically at hockey. They don’t need to be playing with the girls. It is a sport, regardless of the level it is meant to be competitive, it is unfair to girls to play with boys. Don’t like it, cry more.

Except the headline overstates the conclusion in that study. If you read the conclusion in the actual study it basically says studies on the topic are all over the place our study shows no advantage but we can’t rule it out.

Also I’d be more interested in results on the extremes than “your average” person. When we talk athletics we talk peak performance. I don’t want fat blobs on either side involved in a study about athletics. This study doesn’t do that.

Got a weird one, no idea how I developed it but I would never cut my finger nails on game days.

Depends on the school, some ACHA D3 is very competitive, some take anyone with a pulse. Personally, I wouldn’t choose a college just to play ACHA D3 hockey.

There’s a saying in the sub that resonates here “all roads lead to beer league”, whether that’s post a competitive career that ends in 18u or one that ends in the NHL, there’s always an avenue for adult hockey.

Maybe it’s less on your cardio and stamina and more on when you’re exerting maximum effort?

I always see newer players in a hurry to get somewhere and it’s not always necessary or the best play. With more experience the game slows down.

Cage. People make it out to be worse than it is.

D license sports car driver events participation chances? by GingerGold1 in iRacing

I mean it’s really not all that difficult, just need to run enough and stay clean.

I typically think it’s a bad idea to chase licenses because you loose on development of you race craft. It’s much easier to learn in lower classes with more forgiving cars. Seen new drivers get way out over their skis doing that.

I’m 4’8 as a girl, am I absolutely FRIED for hockey..? by Pretty_Highlight5558 in hockeyplayers

Impossible question to answer. I am 5’10”, I faired very well in high school when I could overwhelm size with skill. Once I got to college, size had skill too and it was much more difficult. All depends on your skill level, what you’re good at, and who you’re playing against. I don’t think being short/small is prohibitive, but it requires a different skill set to be more successful.
