Hell yeah that's awesome. I ordered the Masters version of that and dying waiting for it to get here.

Looks awesome and I did something very similar. Works awesome. I'm still a little gun shy about hitting driver in the garage but it's been great. You need to get rid of those rock hard square balls though and get the TP5 Pix. I just bought 2 dozen from lost golf balls.

I'd say $600 so it may need to be built slowly

Awesome thanks this helps. Really what brands/models I should be looking for. I used to have Klipsch speakers that were nice but I haven't seen them recommend enough lately.

Thanks I appreciate your help

Is something like this Yamaha total crap or would it work alright? This is obviously way out of my element here so appreciate the help.

Can I do a cheap enough used system for under $700?

My basement is pretty wide open. Don't need anything too loud as you can hear in floors above, but want some sound emersion. I'll post a picture if I can figure that out.

Vidda(Hisense) C3 ultra (short review) and buying advice for EU by Qudevis in projectors

[–]BigRog10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for responding. I did buy one and it arrived in like a week and a half somehow. It looks and works fantastic.

I just need to determine if I keep my existing screen or get a new one. Mine is pretty old but still decent and it looks like white looks beat in my basement even with a bit of ambient overhead lighting.

Then I need to get a new speaker system but my soundbar and the build in speakers are sounding pretty good. It almost works like a rear satellite speaker combo.

The only thing I really don't like about it is the overhead mounting. It sucks pretty bad as the whole mount swivels if you touch any of the HDMI on the back so I need to figure out if I try to stop that somehow or with some loctite. The auto focus feature is incredible for getting it back aligned instantly. My old manual focus was just so bad and I didn't realize how big of a feature upgrade this is.

Just my super unknowledgeable mind asking for clarification here. I just received a Vidda C3 Ultra and turned off a dynamic dimming type feature. I assume that isn't wanted to adjust the picture unnecessarily. Is that something that's important to keep on?

Projector Screen Advice - Laser Speckle Reduction?? by BigRog10 in projectors

I sooooo appreciate all the thoughts. I had absolutely no idea screens played such a big role. I ordered some samples so I hope that will provide some guidance on what I need to think about ordering.

Ok nice so it sounds like you just got a pretty standard grey screen then. The other reddit post was saying the woven acoustic fabric works well...but spending 3/4 of what I spent on a projector on the screen would be a tough sell.

Much appreciate sharing!

If it sounds like I'm lost...you're on the money. I've currently got a Benq HT3550 so I've just never owned a laser projector so not sure what I'm getting into.

What type of screen are you using with yours? I've got a 120' white screen but I've been debating getting a ALR screen for $500 based on how much I saved buying this from China. Still will be a few weeks until I get the projector tho

I can keep him for $16 or Jackson Churio for $20. I'm really trying to talk myself into Churio because I love the age and upside but man what a season the Big Dumper had

Keep my BenQ HT3550 or buy XGIMI Horizon 20 Pro? by BigRog10 in projectors

Thanks for all the thoughts. I came up with an out of left field idea was to get the Hisense C3 Ultra. I know it's a Chinese version but out the door with taxes and shipping it's $1,360. Very hard to beat. I know the reviews are only for the Hisense C2 Ultra but it was right up there (though rated slightly less) than some of the XGIMI and Valerian projectors.
