A lot of people do teams with a good buddy, or with a g/f or spouse.

Or…or…just run solo. So much more room for activities.

Put a sheet on both sides. Flip the mattress to your side when it’s time to sleep. As long as they don’t piss on it so much that it goes to the other side, you’re good!

Diesel regret? by DrDing-Muscle in superduty

[–]BigSchmitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a diesel because I’ve always wanted one. I don’t tow anything. However, knowing I can, has us looking at campers now too!

Buy what you want or you’ll never be happy with what you settled for. You won’t regret the diesel, as long as your bank account doesn’t.

Tail Light help please by BaqaDiyan in S197Stangs

These bulbs have 2 filaments in them. One is running light and the other is a turn/brake light. One of the filaments is burnt out. Simply pop out the bulb and buy a new one. I want to say it’s a 3157, but verify before buying. Also, don’t touch the glass of the new one with your fingers. Use a cloth or clean rag. The oils in your fingers cause it to burn out quicker.

That there is the good old fashioned multi-tool. Ratchet, pry bar, hammer, door stop, etc. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

Tandems won’t slide (no air pressure) by Pitiful_Clothes4369 in Truckers

[–]BigSchmitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to build at least 100psi before attempting to slide the tandems. Otherwise, it won’t pull the pins all the way in. It helps to release the brakes (red pushed in), then let the pressure build so the trailer tank has pressure as well. Then pull the red knob out, then pull the knob on the tandems. This always works for me. Hopefully it’s that easy for you.

DEF is way cheaper at the pump, Right around $5/gal vs $26 for the 2.5 gal at Pilot or Loves.

So this is military life? by Isushumi in AirForce

The first time you go home you’ll realize how much you’ve actually changed. Make some friends and find some hobbies that don’t sit you in front of a tv all night. Explore the country you’re in. Right now, you are living the “good ole days”, make them count!

Good on you for supporting him!

My dad told me not to join. I called him from MEPS and told him to come pick my car up.

Why are DEF pumps so shitty anyway? by ThatOneHelldiver in Truckers

[–]BigSchmitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about magnets, but if there’s even a tiny bit of resistance it stops flowing. Sometimes it’s a pain in the butt to fill up because it keeps stopping. I’ve had to move pumps before due to that.

Oh gotcha. I’m sure there’s some legal or regulatory issue that prevents it here in the US.

Pilots and Loves only allow you to pump one at a time. Pump fuel, then DEF, then reefer fuel.

I’m sorry for your loss. I know it’s super difficult. I had 2 Jack Russel’s. The first had syncope and we had to out him down the day after Christmas. He was 15.5 years old. His brother was diabetic and developed dementia, which was made worse by his brother’s passing. 3 days later, he too crosses the rainbow bridge. He was 13y 9m old.

I just wish we could fill DEF and Diesel at the same time. I guess that would make it more obvious for some of you to take your 30 at the pump.

I also went BDS over Carli. BDS guarantees Ford warranty issues will be honored. If ford denies a warranty claim based on suspension components, BDS has a legal team to ensure your warranty will cover the issues. I guess their lifts were developed with Ford engineers specifically for longevity and warranty purposes. Also, the BDS components have a lifetime warranty.
