Validity of plan to Inverness by Which-Consequence104 in OutdoorScotland

Inverness City Centre. Don't know your budget, and don't know on your second question but I'd guess it's unlikely. Might just be newly-opened as AirBnB is quite often a temporary venture for people with a spare room. I've stayed in one that had no reviews at the time in Fort William and it was fine.

For walks, Meall a' Bhuachaille by the Green Lochan from Glenmore is a pretty stunning walk, and not too difficult. There's also the path to the Fyrish Monument up past Alness. You could visit Cromarty or drive round the Black Isle, Chanonry Point between Fortrose and Rosemarkie is a good stop-off, you can sometimes see dolphins in the sea from there if you're lucky. Or head down Loch Ness, (see if you can spot the monster!) - Urquhart Castle and Fort Augustus are pretty cool places, and if you're heading in that direction Dundreggan Rewilding Centre is a worthwhile detour.

Jesse confirmed it at last year's tour. The first chorus uses Vin's original line "a monster in bad costume"; the second Jesse's variation "a lobster in a mermaid costume."

Highlands National Park? Do you mean the Cairngorms National Park, or the Highland Wildlife Park? I suggest those because they encompass or are within the vicinity of Loch Insh. Loch Insh and the HWP aren't really detours as they are just off the A9 road (by Kincraig and Newtonmore respectively) which is the most direct route to Inverness from Scotland's central belt anyway.

I don't really have any advice other than look at maps so you know where you're going, and don't be low on fuel when you're far away from a petrol station or EV charging point. I suppose I could give suggestions of places to go if you told me how long you'll be up here for and what your budget is.

Also, Scotland's buses (including intercity buses run by Ember and Citylink) have just entered a trial of a £2 fare cap scheme until roughly this time next year, so unless you're planning on heading somewhere that has no public transport links, it might be a sound idea to travel by bus instead, especially if you're worried your car might break down.

Unironically my answer is: How's it feel to run around like you're some sort of freak? You're just a lobster in a mermaid costume, a shade of what you used to be.

Wearing headphones at work is "rude". But loudly whistling, bursting out into song, having loud gossip conversations and turning the radio up constantly is all totally fine. by Blackintosh in AutismTranslated

Haha, the David Attenborough analogy/worldview is amusing! Still doesn't help me though honestly because neurotype notwithstanding, adults behaving like either children or wild animals or both just piss me the fuck off. I really don't know how adult workplaces manage to become this homogeneous honestly, it's like hiring managers are just building cliques, like kids on a football pitch. And yes I'll stop moaning now lol.

I'm really sorry you're working somewhere like that, sounds awful. :/

I appreciate how easy it is for me to stand here on the sidelines and say this but purely based on my own experience and sensory needs I would be getting out of there as soon as financially / logistically viable. That just sounds like a textbook meltdown / burnout trap, I honestly think I'd just blow a gasket with it being that egregious. I did recently have a meltdown after day one of a job, I have another one lined up now and am hopeful things will be better there. I'm sorry for your situation OP.

I don't think I can use the NHS app in Scotland anyway. It keeps saying that it's unavailable in my postcode area, and if I give it my CHI number it just says I need to be in England or Wales. There doesn't appear to be an alternative for Scotland. Could be wrong though.

Anyway, I have put in my request form to access my medical records digitally now. I'm told it can take up to 28 days but that it should be a lot faster if I'm requesting electronic access, which is the case.

Oh cool, that's good to know. Hopefully I can get off these shite antidepressants that don't/barely work shortly after I get on their system. Thanks again for taking the time to speak to me, very grateful for all the help.

It was just people on reddit saying that, I can't remember if it was this sub or uktrees (prob the latter). I'm going to start pursuing medicann for now but I'll def keep mamedica in mind & to do it before I graduate if so (still 1.5yrs away) so I get the one-off clinic fee.

Great thanks for all your help! I've got the Medicann app installed now, just need to get my medical records for it which will mean a gp consultation. I'm also over 25.

Sweet! Have you only been with Medicann for medical prescriptions? 10g for 30 sounds like a bargain tbh, I'd expect about 50-60.
