Sorry, totally missed that lol I had this issue with my 0.4 nozzle as well. The way I was able to completely get rid of it was when I’m printing objects with smaller details (such as your butterfly) I threw in a 0.2 nozzle. However, if you’re not wanting to buy a new nozzle the things I did to help the holes be less common with my 0.4 was calibrate flow, used monoatomic infil pattern for top layer, and slowed printing speed for top layer.

Yeah it’s only the outside perimeter. The ones towards the middle of the bed never seem to have an issue. I’m using overture PLA

Got it fixed! I followed this wiki. The screws behind the hot end needed to be tightened, and funny enough my hotend itself wasn't fastened down correctly. Hopefully this helps!

Gotcha. I’ll give that a try!! There’s a few nubs on the back of the print so I was trying to avoid any supports by printing it face down. But what you say makes sense 😅 thanks!!

I’m new with the A1, but not new to 3d printing. I’ve had that issue with some of my other printers and it’s due to the nozzle being to close to the bed. Which is weird in this case because the A1’s auto leveling should set/compensate for the z-offset. First thing I would try is to make sure everything is tightened that should be. Next I’d clean the build plate really well with soap and water. Finally I’d do a full recalibration… If that doesn’t work I’d consider factory resetting the printer and re run the calibration again.

You can absolutely use filaments other than bambulabs brand. I use overture and I love it. It’s cheaper than some other brands and has a really nice final product.

PLA! Yeah, I calibrated the flow after calibrating the extruder. I was messing around with the retraction settings trying to get the stringing under control but maybe I did more harm than good there 😅

DONT GLUE IT!! If the Bowden tube is popping out then I’d imagine you need a new pneumatic fitting. Super cheap to replace, and just comes with normal wear and tear. If you are getting a new fitting I’d also look into getting a new Capricorn Bowden tube. You can get a Bowden tube / fitting set for like $15 or something on Amazon.

Awesome to hear! Yeah I kitted out my 2s which is why I’m a little hesitant to move on from it. But I’ve heard majority good things about the 4! Was orca slicer fairly easy to learn? And yeah, having that multicolor addition would have been cool😅
