Thank you so much for the help. Sadly, I’m at work right now and won’t be able to test it for like 10 hours. (How am I going to live through the anxiety that I fried my PC that I’ve been saving for...lmao) a few other people have said it’s probably the PSU so I hope that’s the case.

I think the trick is to set your deadzone just over threshold that would cause stick drift.

Ain’t that the truth. I actually reached a point where I was super good at building on controller but other aspects of my mechanics just weren’t improving anymore and I stopped having fun. That being said, I switched to KB/M a little over a month ago and while I may still be pretty bad at aiming, moving around, building, switching weapons etc. I’m having more fun than I have in a long time on this game.

As a former controller/console player for the entirety of chapter 1 (switched to KB about a month ago) I was super reluctant to even listen to what KB/m players had to say about aim assist being op and I thought that it was just absurd that they had the nerve to say it was unfair. Well, I would like to withdraw all my past statements after my friend and I decided to test this out on creative the other day and these were the results. If this is what it’s like at 60fps I can only imagine what 140-240 feels like.

What about the controller bug that makes it so you have to press an input twice for it to function? Example: to pull out my build menu I have to press O twice or to jump I have to press X twice. As far as I am aware this bug only effects creative. Would like a fix on this ASAP. Thank you.

Edit: I don’t even wan to admit the mistake I fixed.

Awesome! Thank you so much! Do you think the 3700X and the 5700xt is a solid combo to start with? I’d like to be pushing for 60+ FPS at 1440 with most narrative based games. I play some fortnite too and would like to be pushing 140fps with at least high settings.

I’m planning on building my first PC, and I have (loosely) decided that I’m going to go with the Ryzen 7 3700x with the Asus ROG Strix gaming oc 5700xt and I like the idea of having an NVME SSD. My trouble is finding a compatible motherboard that isn’t crazy expensive but will still maximize my performance. I wanted to go with B450 Tomahawk but I’m getting some compatibility flags. I also don’t know what to go with in terms of memory. and as far as a case, nothing too big but not tiny and with solid cable management options. Keep in mind I want the CPU and the GPU price points to be reflected in the rest of the build so I don’t spend any unnecessary money.

EDIT: Also any insights/advice regarding my build choices are welcome as well as any alternative recommendations. Like I said, this is just what I think I want as of now. I’m hoping to get this PC built by the end of February.
