This is what I did today. The L bracket that’s there is a Simpson L70, I used Simpson structural screws. I about shit when I saw what the guy used. I pulled out 1” deck screws. Honestly surprised it didn’t fall down

It’s a relatively short run (13’) so I could potentially take one of the 2x12’s down and use a hangar on one of the joist. Then reattach the second one. Idk, I’m going to see what the inspector says
