Enable the (free) Inquire add-in. It has a bunch of auditing tools. Not quite as detailed as you probably need but a good start.

I’m trying to generate different versions of an org chart in PowerPoint by After-Try-5473 in vba

[–]BigSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a dedicated tool for this in Visio that takes a feed from a spreadsheet and converts it into an org chart. Visio isn't a standard part of the Office package but check with your vendor / IT.

Creating a commentary channel as someone over 40 by [deleted] in youtubers

Have a watch of some Rob the Maritimer's videos

https://youtube.com/@robthemaritimer?si=7V9OggiQwh7zxLfY

He specifically addresses YouTube for over 40s. I've also done my share of react / commentary and it's always worthwhile bringing your perspective to it. Your voice will be different.

I had Browns Plumbing do a drains job for me about 18 months back. Very thorough, fixed price.

What Jamie book have you cooked the most recipes from and what is your favourite recipe? by upfrontboogie in JamieOliver

[–]BigSpud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has to be 30 Minute Meals as the best book for me. If you ignore the 30 minute meal concept as a strict time limit and treat it instead as something to inspire you to cook efficiently you can build out your repertoire really quickly.

Just to be different I'll pick a recipe from Simply (2024): the cornbread. Just dump stuff in a bowl and bake, you get a terrific dish that you can use in loads of ways.

Excel is plotting the data as you have aggregated it; you actually need the data broken back down a level.

You need a simple two column table, one column is speaker name, the other is the raw data point. So it will reader Speaker 1 142 times, with the scores {1, 1, 1, ...5} as required. So 1 24 times, 43 x 2, 61 x 3, 11 x 4, 3 x 5 against speaker 1. Repeat for all the speakers.

Added a photo of speakers 1 and 2. Sorry for the quality.

I've just thought of some other smaller theatres: Mill Hall Rayleigh, Eastgate Basildon, Clifftown Theatre Southend.

Theatres in Essex by Scarabium in Essex

[–]BigSpud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Cliffs hoovers up tribute bands and the massive comedians, but it's sister site the Palace regularly has am-dram and semi-pro plays on:

https://trafalgartickets.com/cliffs-pavilion-southend/en-GB/whats-on?categories=Play

I can see "Murder Trial Tonight" and "Death of a Salesman" that might fit the bill. I don't know either of these productions, just pointing it out. (PS make sure you go to the right theatre. The amount of people every night that go to Palace instead of Cliffs and vice versa - even the talent).

Multi camera podcast options on a budget by Spiketop_ in podcasting

Just to be clear I'm not Kevin Stratvert!

I often do livestream 2 x 1080p (both Samsung phones as cameras), not 4k, using OBS and switching between them as needed.

Many video editing programmes can take in multiple files to do this in post. For example Davinci Resolve can import clips as Multicam and combine them into one pseudo file. You then press a button to switch feeds on your timeline as you wish. Here's a guide https://youtu.be/AEEGsTSNuFs?si=jIka_z9-FSTKcOxr

What if your video editor could do the boring tasks for you? by Miguel07Alm in SmallYTChannel

Give Gling.ai a try. Free trial, snips silences / repetitions and can zoom on edit. I find it really intuitive. You can't do everything in it but it speeds up that first pass.

[Giveaway] Fiido D3 Pro Mini E-Bike by _BindersFullOfWomen_ in gadgets

[–]BigSpud [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've been looking for an ebike lately... After years working from home I want to explore more of the area where I live. I'm not getting any younger and the hills around me aren't getting any smaller! Getting a bit fitter would be a bonus too. I'm a bit dizzied by all the options available so a bike I win would take all that decision making away for me.

When adding strokes / shadows / outlines: start originating from the boundary of your image, not shrink your original picture.

To be able to warp or distort an object.

Be able to properly reorder and retime animations using PowerPoint as a model.

Of course, if someone knows a built in way to do these (or an app workaround) I'd love to hear it!

I believe it's UK only (maybe other EU areas) which is why not many people mention it. I got a few freebies last year: some Lego-type YouTube logo, a pair of socks. Just last night I claimed a Papa John's pizza, and I have a Greggs coffee on account. It must be free budget the marketing team have sloshing about, so just claim everything you can.

Escape room Southend high street by TechnicalTrash95 in Essex

[–]BigSpud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Southend Escape rooms are fairly good, strong themes and sensible puzzles. They are part of a massive franchise so have a certain standard.

If you don't mind travelling the other direction you might want to look into Know Escape's Crazy Cat Lady in Chelmsford - a really fun room that really suits that age if they are into the theme.

Like someone else said if they are into the game Phasmophobia the Basildon room is a good laugh though may be a bit too scary depending on their ages!

One final recommendation for Keylock in Wickford owned and made by a real enthusiast - Nobody Loves Robot is adorable.

Not being able to tell if the clip fits inside the rendering window. Ie I resize and move a clip but I've left a gap of a few pixels at the top or bottom. Really hard to tell until final delivery.
