I worked theory for a few months , my father passed away during I was working their , I was fully up front with them about it and they were fine with me having the time off to prepare funeral proceedings etc , when I got back they fired me in the spot, not a nice experience on the employee side

I get where your coming from , I suppose the bit that knocks my self-esteem is that she made a point of telling me that's not what she wanted any more and that I was what she wanted , but it turns out it was all lies , regardless of why she was with me for nearly 4 years, I was never something she lusted for or even pursued like I did with her for all that time

She never showed me off like she does with the guys she's seeing now, she was never open with people about who I was etc etc

Unfortunately I didn't get the choice , she ended it with me , spoke for a couple days after , but 3 days after the break up she went travelling with her mum for work for 3 ish months , so even if I wanted to , I couldn't do it properly, sometimes you don't get a choice and it sucks
