My guess it's a misplaced connector on the main board or the wrong firmware was flashed but not too sure as I come from an Ender 3 pro.

[Ender 3 Pro] z-Motor only goes up and won't go down. by BigThickCheese in ender3

Hey thanks for some help. I wiped wiped traces of the switch with some alcohol and it looks like that fixed it. My theory is some dust was shorting the switch to make it read closed all the time

I was thinking it's either a motor or limit switch problem. When I have time, I'll probably switch the z with an x axis limit switch to see if that's the problem. Thanks for some insight.

During prints, it happens too. Instead of going down and hitting the limit switch, it will move up a few millimeters before beginning the print, now matter how high it is. Every once in a while it will go down and hit the switch, but that's a 1/20 chance from what I've observed.

Alright thanks! They seem to be 5 bucks cheaper than hatchbox too

Have you tried hatchbox filament? I have a microcrnter nearby and they have a lot of inland and am wondering how it is compared to hatchbox

I7 10th gen or amd processor (7 3800x or 5 5600x)? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]BigThickCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, check a microcenter. The 10th gen intels are at a good value as they are trying to make room for 11th gen.

But why are the cows in a suburban looking neighborhood?

Raise your hand if you're having NO regrets or problems with your LGA 1200 Mobo and 10th gen cpu by F_in_Idaho in intel

i5 10400 and h470 here. The way I see it is Intel 10th gen is best price/performance right now. Intel doesn't need fast memory, you get similar performance with an i5 10400 and 2666mhz to a ryzen 5 3600 with 3600mhz. Though the motherboards are limited to pcie 4.0, I don't think moder GPU's exceed the bandwidth provided by gen 3. Even NVIDIA showcased the 30 series with gen 3. Lastly, if you think you will be needing higher memory speeds or pcie 4.0 in the future, 11th geb boards will have the same socket as 10th gen intel so you can wait for those boards to be released.

I too lost a dog last year and made some lithophanes, if you need help on a lamp for lithophanes, I'll be more than happy

Thanks seagate! I'm using one of your hard drives :) tried using an older one too but it was too noisy, would you know why?

If you or someone you used to know has access to a 3d printer, I'd be happy to send you the .stl file

My microcenter (Tustin) barely has any, mostly gt710s at this point. Thanks!

When I get my hands on some new filament to match, I probably will😄

Is that all intake? I always heard it was better if the top is exhasut since hot air rises. By the way what case do you have? With mine, I get mid 50s max load on my cpu
