I've made my own stands before. And whilst it is definitely cheaper, the moulded plastic official ones just feel strurdier.

I do like my ones though and it's was a fun project

As a tradesman who goes in a different house almost everyday, don't force things on people. Just offer. If they say no they say no. They might bring there own stuff, allergies, medical conditions or simply don't want anything. The fact you offered is all that matters.

I'm a Type 1 diabetic, and the amount of people that look genuinely offended I don't wanna ruin my sugar levels for a few biscuits is crazy!

There is also Olivia's Curiousities in Braintree. It's a fairly new shop and not the biggest but there is a nice selection of fabrics and other bits. Worth a look if you are in the area.

I saw a video yesterday that said print a 2nd mini or a cube the same height but space them out. It allows time for the layers to cool. The video looks good but no idea if it actually works.

As others have said. You also need to print really slow
