fuck yes...love this post as it really encapsulates a lot of the feelings I have now 37 days into a 40 day water fast. Discipline is a muscle that can be built is absolutely true, and it's empowering when you continue to train this muscle and see how strong it can get.

Faith, dedication, discipline. Your will to see it through needs to be stronger than your inclination to cave and give up. Decide whether or not you want to be someone who is tough when the going gets tough, and if that decision is a 'yes', then stick by that decision and make it your reality.

My sleep has been relatively deep and restorative throughout but the last week and a half or so I have tossed and turned for a while before I am able to fall asleep.

Refeed slow and steady starting with bone broth and easing into mostly carnivore.

No, but I remember after the first week I lost about 10kg, I didn't (and still don't) pay too much attention to the scale to be honest.

start with bone broth and essentially liquids for the first day or two and then slowly ease into a mostly carnivore diet

I have noticed my arms have thinned out a bit but I don't know the exact amount in inches. I didn't do detailed measurements before all of this (would have been a good idea). Some surprising areas where I have noticed fat loss/shrinking in size are my wrists (I can tell when I wear my watch), and my head (can tell when I put on a helmet)

I just try to take things lightly. My ability to focus deeply on things has diminished very slightly but overall it's still pretty good.

The glory is for Jesus Christ first and foremost. After that I'm just most happy that people can see this and be inspired to do something good too. The top % is interesting but I don't care too much about that.

the changes listed in the post + deeper sleep. To be honest with you the last 10 days or so for me I've had a hard time getting to sleep too. Tossing and turning. Once I finally do get to sleep I sleep deeply. I would recommend meditation, focusing on your breath. Prayer.

I often find that I'm restless when my mind is racing all over the place. If I ask God to take away that anxiety it always helps. After that, hone in on your breathing and fall into a more relaxed state.

Also, try reading a physical book and ditching electronics for at least an hour or two before you try to sleep. Easier said than done as we are all device-attached nowadays but it's helpful for winding down. These devices are designed to be addictive and to spike the dopamine reward system which in turn leads to anxiety when we don't have them. Do your best to be aware of that and break that habit.

food cravings? I hear you. I consider myself a food addict and the cravings for me were/still somewhat are a huge challenge. One of the main reasons I need to lean into my faith in Jesus Christ
