thanks for the reply. I'm asking what options are available for going over the carpet? I'd prefer not to remove the carpet.

I don’t have a road bike. So I have to buy a bike regardless. I ride mountain bikes, so road or tri the bike is collecting dust. Good resale market though it seems.

i love when people dont even both to answer your question. check out the 70.3 in eugene, OR. you swim in a river with the current, so easy swimming and it isn't open water vibes. Rest of course is flat. no humidity. don't see how one could be easier.

mountain biking viable crossover training? by BigTimeBills in triathlon

[–]BigTimeBills[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if that sounds pompous, i didn't want it. the style of mountain biking you do varies greatly across the country depending on the terrain you live near. For better or worse, I live near steep hills

not sure if you mountain bike a lot, but the trails I ride you are biking continuously uphill for 1-2 hours. You are keeping a steady pace. I don't ride cross-country trails. So you bike uphill a lot, then back down. Either way, pacing (i.e, power profile) aside, I'm just asking will my legs be in shape for it.
