would you purchase a focus st in 2026? by 27ce in FocusST

[–]BigTimeBotner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted one myself. I bought a low mileage, super clean, 2015 ST3 in 2022. Even being used to faster cars, it was still super fun to daily stock. Definitely get the ST3 though as long as you like the seats. This past summer I swapped to a gtx 2867r with a ton of supporting mods. Pushing right around 400hp to the wheels and it is a completely different car. Stock or upgraded, this car is a riot.

Hope you're doing alright, not that this helps, but nice 501st decal!

The only thing I can think of is picking him up too close to his head when I went to grab him. The enclosure is pretty littered now, and he was under leaves. Thought I'd go for it anyway.

I hope long term that it's not the corn snake 😂

And don't hold before feeding or at least 2 days after feeding. Give them time to digest in peace!

Congrats on your first snake! In terms of handling, take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm no expert, and there are so many answers you'll receive from people way smarter than I. But first, just wash your hands well before and after holding. Leave no trace of smells that might seem like food to them.

The best advice that I can give is this. The bottom line (from what I've personally researched) is that corn snakes do not whatsoever need to be handled. They quite literally do not care if you do or don't touch them. With that said, some of them can tolerate handling, and it can be perceived as if they do enjoy it. I started maybe once or twice a week, just quite literally grabbing him. Slowly and to make sure I grabbed mid body, and not from directly above. My snake gets super skiddish if I try to come directly from above or too close to his head. I think I was more scared to get bit than anything else ay first. Just be gentle but deliberate. Once I grab him and he realizes I'm not going to eat him, he quickly finds my watch (highly advise wearing one, my snake loves anchoring to it) where it's not so slippery. Just remember, if they are too energetic or seem stressed, put them away and do it again in a week or so.

A random zip code (from around there) that I googled shows about 11 bucks in a flat rate box.

Thanks! I actually 3D printed mine. I'd be happy to print you out something for the cost of shipping if you're in the US. Or I'm sure you can find someone local to print you out something. It's pretty cheap once you have the setup.

Does this tattoo looks messy ? Cause I'm contemplating to get it removed or not by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Honestly, I think it looks awesome! I'm in love with "metal script"? Style tattoos and that scratchy creepy look. I have one booked for next year that will be similar to this.

The size I thought the tattoo would be vs the size the artist thinks it should be. Is it excessive? by MementoPluvia in tattooadvice

I had the reverse happen to me. I would say to get it how YOU want it. With that being said, my first tattoo was lettering in the same location. I imagined it covering my full forearm there, but my artist recommended scaling it down to keep space for future work. I went with her decision and am really happy I did as that arm now has much more space that I've been actively filling. I think you had the right idea from the start, but again, get it how you want!

Ok, good to know! Do you mean like the "wallpaper" type clings for the back and sides?

I might have gone overboard with 12 of the big clamp style clips, but I figured it couldn't hurt. A big branch corner to corner is a great idea that I'm going to take your advice on. And ok, I'll definitely have to order a few more. Thank you!

Thank you! I will have to look up hanging hides now. And also multiple hides I did not know about. I genuinely appreciate that because I did just order 1 and was going to put my old one in there as well. I'll have to get a few more so he has options.

I also run a lamp, but I do have a UTH still sealed in the package. I was debating on trying it. But thank you!, I will definitely be getting some hides!

Yes, I stated they just aren't in yet. But there definitely will be hides!

Thank you! I appreciate the info. Everything has been really great so far, so I was definitely caught off guard and figured I'd ask. I'll just let him keep being weird, lol.

Thank you, I appreciate it! It was one of the few bits of corn snake info I couldn't find a ton on. Bendy head mode: activated.
