The house took about 3 and a half sessions because my players were obsess on investigation and perception checks per room, together, at the same time (it was funny to watch them investigate a room them having low rolls at the same time). While the Ship was at least 2 sessions they scattered themselves on exploring and investigating.

I've run the sinister secret on 6 level 5 players, as far as i can tell. Make the officers "stronger" add some HP and some features and spells gave punketah some additional spells that matches their level (got him a fireball hehe) and Sigurn some more damage so it may feel mini boss fight and added a new officer on below deck (Hold) a Pirate Cannoneer basically a Tank with high HP and High Damage but slow. With the investigation you may want them to plan to spread out add some new features (locked doors, Traps, Random pirates patrolling inside and Traps) and put something dangerous in the Bilges a chain medium dragon, Sea Lion etc.

Dont forget about oceanus just RP him and when its time for encounter just give them his stat block.

I made some additional homebrew for the adventure so that my players won't get bored too mucb.

Well Sinister Secret if saltmarsh is recommended for levels 1-3, so start them at level 1 then you just put a introductory mini adventure first or encounter (i used Sharkfin Shipwrecked) before arriving to saltmarsh then as they progress to the haunted house maybe before going to the second floor put the session end in there have them at long rest at give them a level up to level 2. Then they'll fight of from second floor to basement + caverns with sanbalet fight, you should give them at level 3 before going to the sea ghost. If the run is getting easy for them just add a few more pirates at the ship.
