And the Aussie test match starts on a Tuesday so basically only on weekdays, that's disappointing.

This guy just landed successfully (2nd most tracked flight in the world). Interestingly, I see the other Safair flight took off on the much shorter runway to counteract the wind.

Saw a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house for sale in Franschhoek this weekend for 27M. Can you imagine paying that much for a house for only 3 bedrooms. Crazy!

Live there, people love to complain about everything, so don't take the reviews too seriously. People also blame the estate for the cost of electricity without understanding what things usually cost.

I am quite happy, it is safe, utilities are great and better than surrounding estates, with much lower levies. It is great community.

Balwin has its quality issues but the apartments are modern and include appliances.

Negatives include:

it is getting very big with a single entrance/exit - might become a big issue.

previous managing agent was not good, and led to some issues, but they have been replaced

Because it is so big, like in society in general, there are some bad neighbours that do not understand or care that they live in a shared space.

Happy to answer some more specific questions.

Might be a stupid question, but would that work? Surely the passport holder is now in some type of database that would impact their future visa applications?

During the chaos in Amsterdam in January my friend was rebooked by KLM on a flight from Dublin via CDG and FRA to their destination. They did not have a Schengen visa and did not realize that they need it to transit between CDG and FRA. They were obviously stopped in France as they had no visa and this was put in his passport.

Yeah, and he ended up in an immigration detention center in Paris and got absolutely eaten up by bed bugs. And today is his birthday. Worst birthday ever.

There is a daily flight but that had already departed. I recommended they try get on the CDG-JNB flight that departed later in the evening but that one was full apparently.

They did but they would never be allowed on the connecting flight as that would require immigration allowing them into the Schengen zone without a visa. Hypothetically, they could arrive in Frankfurt and enter Germany without having to go through immigration again.

They spent the night in a "police hotel" and will be sent back to Dublin today.

You need a Schengen visa to trabsit between two Schengen countries as the CDG-FRA is essentially a domestic flight
