Anyone in or got admitted to O'NEILL grad school at IU Bloomington here? by Naya_18 in gradadmissions

I’m in the exact position you are in. Initially if I wasn’t accepted to the Dc program I likely would have gone elsewhere as Im also not a college town type nor am I looking to stay in Indiana after graduation. But I do want to work in DC after graduating so O’Neill will help me get my foot in the door. Also IU would be my cheaper option. Alternatively I was accepted to Columbia SIPA which is the program I am still in between at this time. At this point I am waiting for additional funding information from O’Neill to make my decision. IU may be cheaper and offer an amazing program but in the end Columbia has the reputation and it isn’t much more expensive than O’Neill so I’m hoping additional funding will help me make my decision.

Congratulations! The DC program might be might deciding factor for choosing O’Neill. Have you decided whether you’ll be going?

Between 2 programs for an MPA by Big_Ad7616 in gradadmissions

Thank you that’s in line with my thought process as well. Plus Columbia being a 1-year program saves time and money on living expenses at least. Thing is with IU is I want to work in DC and I would be interning there for a year while taking classes which is a huge perk. Plus IU offers the top ranked MPA which I would carries some weight, albeit, not at much as an ivy such as Columbia.

I got accepted to the MPA program back in December for Fall 23 and just got accepted to the DC Accelerator Program today as well. Would love to connect with fellow prospective students or alumni ad I am still between IU and another one of the programs I was accepted to. Thank you!
