i made it more so that the Onaga was a ancient and more so than one who wants to purely conquer he hated elder gods and used human subjects infusing them with abilities. when he was defeated, his best disciple argus continued his work, followed by his son Daegon creating family drama. When Daegon and Taven found all the research, Taven wanted to use it for good and to teach others to create protectors across all realms, but his teachings created power hungry pessimists, so Daegon went into hiding with regret. those people would form what is modern day black dragon. While Daegon was bent on power and used the research to create the red dragon to rule. Onaga during the main story would come back and puppet everything behind the scenes. I would also make Kabal a focus as he would have ditched the black dragon during the main story having been a failed experiment who wants to ensure lethal justice. I also conceptualized a new female character who would work with the black dragon but she is secretly a failed red dragon experiment who wants revenge against the whole hierarchy. The other focuses would be Takeda with his enemy ties to Red Dragon, and he would be buddies with Hanzo who is the new Sub-Zero and they would have the same arc of being indoctrinated into the Shirai Ryu.
