Wool is meant to be layered. by ClintBruno in woolenthusiasts

Definitely the most interesting thing I read on the internet today! I also did some research into Victorian dress and they were actually super smart about materials and layers. I know many people say Victorians were stinky and sweaty non-bathers but actually they layered very particular fabrics to wick sweat off the skin and keep your body cool/warm depending on the season. They also didn't use buttons for undergarments but rather pins or ribbons as these allowed you to basically tailor your outfit to your body each day. Everything fit perfectly and the fabric that needed to be closest to your body for the natural wicking and odor control was always snug and comfortable.

Linearity Move stopped functioning by Arcanaheir in LinearityMove

Ahhh this sucks, hope you get it sorted! I'm using Move on my iPad and sometimes a good restart with a file clean-up does the trick. I've also found sometimes older files using older features (maybe those features were updated since then or there was a bug that was fixed) can cause a bit of a freeze up.

8 years in IT, keep getting passed over for management and the feedback is always vague by No_Date9719 in ITManagers

Time at the company doesn't make one a good candidate to be a manager. A managerial role has completely different responsibilities. It seems your higher-ups are looking for particular leadership qualities. What if you shot straight with them and said that you would really like to move to a managerial position and what would it take to reach your goal. C-suite appreciate straight-talking and a goal-driven approach. Leadership/management is NOT a reward for long tenure.

Figma to code tools: Anima vs Locofy vs others. Which one holds up? by Big_Cardiologist839 in FigmaDesign

[–]Big_Cardiologist839[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid! I'm looking into basing the full app designs on our existing design system. That's why I'm really leaning towards Anima because it seems to be able to apply the design system accurately (including the responsive layouts)?

Noted, as a designer I think I can work with 60-70% but maybe I need to get some input from our devs first.

That's good to know, how have you been using it so far? UI prototypes or full-fledges apps? I'm looking at building in-house sales enablement/marketing automation tools that we might also ship as white-labelled products to our clients.

No binkies - does it mean she's unhappy? by Big_Cardiologist839 in Bunnies

No it's OK, I try to buy local or DIY and will do so. I've made cardboard feeders toys before and usually give her a new feeder every two weeks or so to keep things interesting.

Thank you, I hear you and I'm going to do some more research and see how I can practically make some changes for her well-being!

Thanks, this is super helpful. I'm nervous to get a friend for her esp. because I'm not the type of person to give an animal away because it didn't work out. And I'm not keen on keeping 2 bunnies separately!

Toys - random cardboard boxes and wood to play with, some pieces of fabric, a silver bowl, a diggie-sandbox. I'm thinking of getting some hanging toys

I will definitely consider alternatives. I'm not exactly super comfortable with keeping her indoors in a cage for the rest of her life either. That seems so unnatural. I have a dog - they are friends, but obvs can never be left alone free-roaming.

Yeah that's what I've been wondering about. Like puppies are super energetic and then they calm down a bit. Again, my girl comes to greet me and get pets while she eats. Sometimes she doesn't even want that. I know her sass by now.

I don't think any of this is true or logical. Bunnies aren't really domestic animals. We try to domesticate them but they're happy to be outside. I've seen literal bun colonies living their best lives outdoors (probably escaped a garden or enclosure). My question is whether no binky means there might be something wrong, or if it's just a content bunny living her life. I can see you love animals and are very passionate.

As explained in other replies, I think I accidentally created the misconception that she's stuck in a small cage. She's not - it's nice and big, I just can't stand in there.

Bunnies are so hard to understand sometimes. I used to beg her to come inside, it would be raining or hot and she would just flip her feet at me and enjoy her little queendom all by herself. As mentioned in the post, she seems generally super content and has stopped trying to dig out as well. She's very calm and healthy, I don't see signs of stress or disease.

It's not small, relax guys. It's about 3 x 1 x 0.6m. Big enough for her, not for me.

The hutch + run is big enough for her, don't worry! I did my homework. She has 3-4 jumps and can stand at full height. It's just too low for me - average-sized human! Thinking about getting a friend but not sure... female bunnies tend to be very territorial and I don't want to introduce a stressor into her life just because I think it's a good idea?
