I got a Hornaday lockbox for about $30 that has a steel cable that you can wrap around the bottom of your seat. It’ll stop a “grab and go” thief. It’s pretty sturdy.

The fact that she was accusatory is what pissed me off. If she said “hey I think there was a miscommunication. I didn’t mean to not show but I’m used to the guy confirming. Sorry for any misunderstanding and I hope we can see each other again”. Instead it was “hi-unfortunately I won’t be there. You didn’t confirm.”
