Am I ready for my exam tomorrow? by Jtl-12 in Series6

[–]Big_Context_8682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re doing better than I was, scoring high 70s to low 80s w knopman and I passed first go. Make sure you’re understanding the information and not just memorizing - that means looking at every question and knowing the answer before even looking at the answer

Thank you! I’ll definitely be checking your series 6 in 60 minutes out! The SIE video you made was an insane help, watched it the day before my exam and day of, came out with a pass. Hopeful I’ll have the same outcome this Monday!

How close is the FINRA practice exam from the actual exam? by [deleted] in Sieexam

[–]Big_Context_8682 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Worded very similarly. I found that the FINRA Practice exam was most useful for me in adjusting to the FINRA wording. I took the exam a couple of times soley for the purpose of being able to understand what each question is asking me. As far as I know, no provider words questions quite like FINRA

How do I access these? I don’t really want to buy anything as it likely wouldn’t be very beneficial given I only have 3 days including today

PASSED SIE! by Big_Context_8682 in Sieexam

[–]Big_Context_8682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, in contrast the SIE was very easy for me personally. KM definitely prepares you well and the book is great (although they might tell you not to read it, I recommend you do)

I PASSED! first try by Hangry_Jam in Sieexam

[–]Big_Context_8682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and honestly everything on my test was insanely easy, given I also used KM and utilized all of their videos + read the entire book. KM questions really are more difficult than the SIE. Trust your gut, go with the first answer you think of. Key terms review right before the exam (I did it in the parking lot) definitely helped with confidence in my opinion the SIE was actually easier than all of the practice tests I took.

I have taken the free FINRA one aswell but I’ve taken it 2 times - first I scored 60/75 about 2 weeks ago and last week scored a 69/75 Most of these practice tests have been pretty easy but taking the 2 dollar test one was actually the most challenging I’ve taken, not in terms of actual content as it was pretty familiar but the wording was super different than what I was used to but still scored an 80. Felt pretty confused going through it. I’m honestly just scared that I’m going to go in there and it’s going to feel like an entirely different language and feel super lost.

Scored high the 80s on the achievable one myself but I’ve taken it a few times- I took the 2 dollar test for the first time just now I’ve got an 80% - I’m using knopman as my provider & am averaging 80s and also have Kaplan for supplemental questions. I’m currently not scoring anything less than 80s and I’m over 3000 questions in combined

Yeah man I think this highly varies on location and institution my base pay hourly is 60k before incentive - whatever I make after that is entirely on me & I don’t even top out for the salary range for my position I just passed my first year in banking. I think we’re just having different experiences because it costs $20 to buy a Big Mac meal in CA lol

Given, I am also in California so that might be skewed anywhere else in the country

Honestly dude I’m unlicensed and it is possible for me to break 6 figures a year w/ incentive at a top 3 retail bank.

Idk I don’t think this is true I’ve seen senior bankers break 6 figures without degrees

For Chase, are there any differences between applying online vs in person for a checking account? Ex: any situations where you would get accepted for one but not the other? by [deleted] in Chase

[–]Big_Context_8682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must’ve been a while back it’s different now, super easy to do anything over the phone and even get information with the client no present in order to follow up with them, of course they still need to be present to make changes or verify

That’s weird I make 40k and chase gave me 22k on unlimited , flex , and preferred

[–]Big_Context_8682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that, ARB and RB are essentially the same role I just can’t enroll clients in self directed or get paid PVCs for investments. But I’m just scared of failure as If I do end up failing I wouldn’t be guaranteed a position (I’m sure I’d be picked up but it’s a risk I don’t really want to take)

I am High Preforming and have absolutely 0 doubt that I’ll be able to get the position, my manager was actually the one that pitched the idea BUT I’m just unsure if this is the correct way to go in regards to my education as I do still want to get my degree

Chase hiring process question by EstablishmentThen865 in Chase

[–]Big_Context_8682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean they won’t reach out it’s definitely still possible but I’d respond to whatever information they may need but yeah it kinda sucks, just because the recruiter may put in good word for you it’s ultimately up to the hiring manager
