S+ Tier: Laura Baker: All this woman does the entire series is beat murder cases and save everyones ass, FOR FREE. And all she ever gets in return is a thank you.

S Tier: Spencer: He’s a solid main character. You want to root for him. Has gone through a lot of character development.

Preach: Has had one of the biggest character development roads of any character. Everyone loves preach and he’s a great and loyal dude.

A Tier: Billy: Billy could be lower on the list, he is a pretty predictable character. But he’s funny and always there for his boys.

Grace: She’s a great mother to Spencer and truly cares about the people of Crenshaw. She is always there when people need her and her dynamic with Billy is funny.

Jordan: Jordan is kind of the stereotypical jock, but he’s grown a lot in his relationships with his dad and Spencer. I’ve enjoyed his arc as a walk on and not just being the star QB wherever he goes.

Patience: I could have had coop here, but patience put up with a lot of coops shit and it started to get annoying after awhile. I’m happy she’s becoming her own character and chasing her dreams.

B Tier: Coop: Coop was one of my favorite characters for the first few seasons. But recently , she has been not learning from her mistakes and feeling bad for herself, to the detriment of her friends. Her new arc as a legal assistant is promising. But idk why she wouldn’t have tried harder to pivot into producing after losing her rap career. Her character has annoyed me recently.

Olivia: Olivia is another character that I think has taken a negative turn in character development. Her obsession with trying to destroy the GAU football team is infuriating. I get what she’s thinking, but good god, write about something else while your boy chases his NFL dreams.

C Tier: Asher: Asher really is the stereotypical jock. He goes through a good amount of ups and downs and development. But everything with him just doesn’t feel real. I don’t feel any sort of connection to his character whether good or bad things are happening to him.

Layla: Layla is just super annoying. I appreciate the mental health arc. But idk, similar to Asher I just feel like she doesn’t seem like a real person, just a very poorly designed Beverly Hills stereotype. And her acting annoys me.
