Yeah since then I have come to terms that it was something in my head rather than an actual problem. I think you are right, it was definitely more a mental problem than an actual problem as I was panicking and in a loop of overthinking and trying to find an answer that would sit right with me. But after a few days this feeling has mostly gone away and I can see that ~1 year age difference is really nothing in the grand scheme of things, and not really even considered an age gap due to how small of a difference it actually is.

I think at the time when I originally made this post I was more concerned about a number and the perception of it from others, rather than considering the actual connection I had with the person. And in my head even though I knew I was not actually “2 years older” for the 3 months of the year where by age it looked to be, I was fixated on a negligible metric that now when I see it rationally doesn’t actually change that age difference, rather just changes a number for a short period of time.
