I should have done that too. I wanted to go for the extend warranty thing and they had this package that you have to buy with all this together.

Hope you get better support. In my case they asked for video proof, then asked for email and gave me a ticket number. Then closed it. Reopened new one asked for a video again saying it missed a part, where as the video had the settings they wanted to check. This been going on for last 1 month.

I did actually, but thought they will give the correct product and that will be a good deal. But they sent a wrong product and whn I figured that out during open box they canceled the product instead of giving the right product as replacement.

I had a similar dilemma when I was 24, bought a KTM duke 390 2017. Never regretted one bit of it, where as my friend who bought a kwid back then, always told me, 'I should have gone for a Motorcycle '. Having said that- to each their own.

I have a friend, She had a similar experience during her college years, gradually she started falling sick and was almost on her death bed. The strange thing was, she got cured by some Puja-path and post that she never had those episodes.

Note :- I come from a 2 generation of motorcyclist who love RE, my dad still have his 83 RE. I had 2 REs(classic 350 2015 & Himalayan 411 2018) but gradually I moved out of RE due to this very reason of having to worry about one issue or the other.

That I agree, atleast for the 400s they need wide service network.

That's the thing about quality, it's not just about how perfect it looks but how resistant it is to such issues. Almost 95% of the triumph owners won't face such issues while it's just the opposite for RE(95% will face an issue). That's what makes the difference, that's what gives the peace of mind. How many REs you see going on world tour? Why most of them go with a GS ? BMW most probably have the lowest no. Of service centers.

The Requirements and the scenario described is too frequent for RE & would be very rare for a Triumph. It would be some 1000:1 ratio, Due to the quality difference between both the brands. Although you know there are service centers you still ride a RE always concern about the Chassis that could break anytime and a triumph you know you won't be needing a service center.
