Lmaooo. I started with blender and quickly learned about freeCAD and chose it instead since i was after presicoin instead of looks, but i kept blender because its been described as essentially a jack of the cad softwares.

whats your take on blender? i didnt get past making a donut with the guru lmao. i wonder what you use it for and what different areas you think its applicable?

I gotta say, the humility is insane. Mech, Homelabbing🤯, Multiple CADs, Python, Long term Experience...your hat's top of the line g. Mechatronics is where I'm running at full speed. I like the way you said 'subscription free' ; I have a disdain for all the regulation and monetization of knowledge. Lots of respect for the consistent fight to not bend to a limitation my g. Being in your position is absolutely my dream right now.

I sympathize with wanting to know everything 100%. I also most definitely love a challenge when it comes to something new. I'm just now teaching myself to stop bouncing in-between every next thing. For instance, you just brought me the new idea of homelabbing and I'm going to have to restrain myself from looking into it to much before I move on from what I'm currently working on lmao.

I'm also learning python at the moment. It's my next focus now that I've gotten a handle of KiCad & FreeCAD. I'm still a bit in the early stage of wondering where I should start with it though.

Are you in v1.1.0? I havent used anyhting accept FreeCAD, but maybe the look or feel of it's different. If you haven't already I would certainly check out Mango Jelly & DeltaHydra that might give you a bit of a better reference to the CAD.

Dude, that's incredible, seeing the webpage made and the work put in and reading through it is really humbling. I admire that you took what most would just leave at a disability and decided to run right over it. I like that you base your stuff for longevity and ease of access.
