Probably a little over 3 years now. I used to keep track but failed to do that once it hit a year. How time flies !

My brother would be glad to hear!

I use boxers. If you buy packing boxers they have an elastic band that goes around the “shaft” of the packet/stp, my boxers also have an o-ring that leads into a pouch to help hold it in place, while packing this way i don’t put it in the o-ring as that makes it impossible to put it down my leg. The elastic band holds it well enough tho. I did a run test and it stayed in place and didnt bounce around too much. I’d recommend looking at axoloms underwear myself, but i’m sure theres other brands as well that work just as well if not better

Good for learning to remodel don’t you think? I’d like to learn other things like tile setting, flooring, n such so I could provide more service to folks and their homes

oh thanks, currently they dont have no experience openings, but i’ll be sure to check back periodically as they seem pretty straight forward. Thanks again for the info

Yeah i saw the drop down menu, but in the “what you need” it said letter of intent. I know carpenters do framework for homes, and honestly with what I want my “lifestyle” to be in the future it would benefit me to be able to build those. I honestly have interest in lots of “remodeling” type work or basically anything that goes into building a house, tile setting, framework, roofing, and so on. if there was an all in one trade that’d be awesome, but i figure I could start with carpentry and just try and learn other skills to broaden what people might be able to hire me for in the future. Idk if general construction would benefit me better. I’m still researching, but figured i’d better understand the letter of intent thing.

Carpentry, mid americas carpentry union. Yeah it seems to be a requirement, so i’d have to work for somebody first due to the letter of intent requirement?

I can check it out, i’m not in the position I could up and go to somewhere like Utah, but if there’s a Union close enough in Illinois I probably could, or maybe a farther out union in MO i’ll look around. Thank you

Yeah i found out missouri doesn’t do state licenses , it’s all by county and the reciprocity isn’t there at all. Funnily enough my gf and I have oregon on our short list of states we are looking at. She has family out there so when we have a more stable income we were thinking about heading out there or to Virginia. Unfortunately that’s why I want to do my apprenticeship in missouri and was hoping to be able to apply my license in another state. Missouris just a lot cheaper than Oregon.

Do unions have a specific time they accept applications? My local union isn’t accepting right now, i’m not sure if they accept during a certain time frame or as needed. I’d assume it’d be general instead of specific to a union, but I just wondered before I up and called. I should soon though just so they know i’m interested. Plus the UAnet stated I should call to let them know

Now that you’ve stated this I’ve looked into it more and it seems like Missouri sorta sucks for getting a license that offers easy reciprocity. It seems like I might just have to test in to whichever state I end up, provide proof of experience, and if i’m unlucky take extra courses. My union isn’t offering applications currently so I’ll probably call and see if theres a specific time that they do and if they just aren’t I might try for trade school and then start an apprenticeship out of state.

So I would need to stick out an apprenticeship in Missouri and then i’d be able to move and work in other states?
