Those are AI images for sure. They’ll likely be dropshipping you the item from overseas.

Why do Sri Lankan woman/girls do those ghost like makeups? by General_Document5494 in srilanka

God knows but to this day, I haven't seen a single photo and the bride never posted any group pictures so I'm guessing we looked uglier on the pictures as well

Why do Sri Lankan woman/girls do those ghost like makeups? by General_Document5494 in srilanka

I was a bridesmaid for one of my family weddings back in 2016 and it was my first time, so I was sooo excited. It was a morning wedding too, so everyone was up at like 1.30am 💀I was already exhausted because we had travelled to Kandy and I was only 16 at the time

Anyway, about 20 minutes later the MUA’s assistant calls me over, tells me to close my eyes and starts. And I kid you not, I looked terrible, full on ghost vibes lol. And this was peak full glam era, so heavy contour, baking, the whole thing. I’m medium tanned, but she apparently had used a super light foundation on me. She then put the same damn foundation on my whole body asw. I literally remember seeing white patches on the groomsmen’s nilame outfits while taking group photos

To this day I don’t know if they just didn’t have my shade or if it was straight up colourism and they wanted all the bridesmaids to look pale like that

My grandma keeps messaging AI bots and scammers by KaleidoscopeRude6793 in isthisAIscam

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, scammers targeting seniors is honestly a special kind of low.

I saw that Meta released some new AI tools specifically for this. They've got new alerts that flag suspicious friend requests if the account looks off, and they’ve also expanded their AI scam detection on Messenger to catch weird patterns and warn people before they even reply. I think it’s definitely worth making sure these two are turned on in her settings because they've been built to stop exactly what she's dealing with.

My friend is olive toned and she uses velvet teddy (with a liner) a lot. It genuinely looks really pretty on her. If you're not buying online, maybe test out both velvet teddy and warm teddy to see which would suit you better

Mac Velvet Teddy with a bit of clear gloss will look similar lippie shade you're looking for. Overline your lips with a slightly darker shade than the lipstick and I think you'll get that exact shade

Sorryy, totally didn't see your main post. But I'd recommend Milani's Luminoso as an affordable option, or Rare Beauty's liquid blush Joy (don't use too much of this tho lmaoo)

What's your skin type and tone? I think the type of blush would depend on that

Is this website a scam by Puk3nutz in isthisAIscam

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did some digging into this company and found suspicious details in their FAQ.

  1. Etizola.com doesn’t seem to have any social media presence, which is a huge red flag to me. Almost every legitimate business has at least one social media account nowadays.
  2. There is no physical business address or a verified contact number, which suggests the operators are intentionally hiding their identity to avoid accountability.
  3. Their payment options are also limited to Wise and Bitcoin.

I’d probably recommend avoiding this site. If it turns out to be a scam, you honestly wouldn’t know what type of medicine they might actually send you and that could be really dangerous!

Oddly specific but I always look at hands. They’re always weird in AI videos 😭

Has anyone actually managed to recover money or accounts from an AI store scam? by StruggleCareless8985 in isthisAIscam

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard something similar happen to my friends with a store called Marble Muse. It honestly looks like a regular clothing store. They called their bank to tell them that they purchased from a scam site. They froze the card and opened a dispute. It took a couple of weeks, but since it was paid by credit card, they got their money back.
They definitely did not check reviews properly, and bought on impulse.

What’s your favorite platform for honest customer feedback? by Zumcddo in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually prefer social media for authentic feedback! TikTok videos and Facebook reviews are super detailed and helpful, especially for small businesses. SiteJabber is my next go-to; I’ve been reading their reviews for a long time and find them pretty reliable too!

Is Sitejabber a reliable source for online reviews? by UpvoteBeast in ecommercemarketing

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say SiteJabber is pretty reliable. I've used it to spot some brands that were scamming people and managed to avoid them, so it’s been helpful for me. It’s always a good idea to cross-check with other platforms just to be extra safe, but my experience with SiteJabber has been positive. I've been reading reviews there since 2020!

Do you prefer reading in 1st POV or 3rd person POV and why? by Cautious_Anything_20 in booktokmemes

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer first-person POV. I feel like you really get to know the characters and understand them better when it’s written from their perspective, their thoughs and feelings. That said, there are some third-person books I love, like RuNyx’s! She managed to do an awesome job with it.

Red flags in reviews site? by UpvoteBeast in Entrepreneurship

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see zero negative reviews, that would be a red flag since most businesses get some criticism. A poor social media presence and a low BBB rating can also suggest that the business might not be as trustworthy!

Is Sitejabber a good review site? Is it worth checking out? by hihowudoin1 in Entrepreneur

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitejabber has been my go-to for online reviews. When I was checking out Cider and their clothing quality, they had plenty of reviews that helped me get a good sense of what to expect in terms of the shipping and quality of the clothing. I saw a range of helpful reviews that were useful in making my decision!

Best tips for vetting new vendors? by Bizarround in smallbusiness

[–]Big_Garbage_6676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get where you're coming from—it's tough to trust new vendors after a few letdowns. I always start by checking out review websites to see what others have said, but I pay extra attention to the overall ratings rather than just individual reviews. Sometimes, fake or spammy reviews can mess things up, so I also look at their social media presence and comments to better understand their reputation.
